Notes

The west side of this famous beach has been setup as a beach marina, with approx 40 sailing craft of six different types used in the Olympics. The city setup this location to promote sailing locally, and provides instructors and first class equipment. Visitor's can rent the smallest sailboats (Opti's?) to sail alone, or the larger sailboats with instructors.

Watch low tide, you will quickly become stranded on sand bars. It's quite a site to suddenly see the water drain out of most of the lagoon, up to 500 feet from the shore.

Other depth info: Yes, zero. At low tide the boat ramp and an area of beach that extends 200 yards is all above water. The beach marina has mobile equipment to retrieve their own sailboats and wheel them across the land. It is quite a site to see 20+ sailboats effectively beached when the tide goes out quickly.

This was totally unexpected, I had come to this location by land just to enjoy a top rated Chinese Beach. This is the first time I have seen sailboats in China, after over 10 visits.
