Reviews for Zea Marina
Good location, crowded, no wifi, 2016-10-05

This is one of the oldest harbors in the world and the base for Moorings/Sunsail in the area. The space for transients is to port as you enter the bottleneck and is in a good location, close to the Coast Guard and the office. The tender driver and dockhands were friendly and competent, as were the office people, although my reservation (made through the central office) took two days to arrive, so it got there after I did! But they had room. Mooring is stern-to with forward lines supplied. No wi-fi was available, but there are several stores nearby with SIM cards. Taxis are cheap - we used cruiser favorite Yannis (6932-792-740) and were very happy.

Convenient location for Athens but not much in the way of services, 2016-08-12
Captain: , Swanwick UK (938)

We came to Zea marina with the intention of carrying out various works on the boat on the basis that being in Athens would mean everything would be easily available. This is however not the case! The chandlery services in the area are good but we were unable to source any other suppliers (we wanted stainless steel work and upholstery work and our neighbours were looking for electrical works). This was mainly due to the fact that Athens closes down for the month of August - so nothing is open or available!

The marina itself is more like a town quay - open to the public and very close to the city streets. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area and great for visiting the city. Boats were very crammed in with millimetres between us and the neighbours - but the service was good in mooring with helpful marina staff and enough space to manoevre. Floating pontoons seem fine and lazy lines robust.

Great place if you want to see the sights of Athens but not a marina to come to for repairs or work on your boat.

Pleasant shelter & good for Athens sightseeing, 2015-05-05

Very professional, good facilities, great location (urban, but relatively quiet) restaurants & shops, good access to Athens city centre.

Superb and highly professional marina, 2013-07-08
Captain: , Fremantle, West Australia (1448)

You are met by an escort dinghy who will take you to your berth. He will be waiting with one of your lazy lines (surprise surprise, the windward one!) The office is extremely well run - intro briefing is excellent, Zea Marina brochure is comprehensive, list of available services extensive. Lots of Mega-Yachts in the outer ring and lots of smaller boats too. Restaurants all over, good showers and heads, Laundry up over the road. Supermarkets, chandlers. Not expensive!
