Reviews for Yarmouth Harbour
lovely stop off, 2015-03-26
Captain: , mansfield (50)

Harbour is a lovely stop off , close to town with good facilities. staff were very helpful

Favourite place on the island, 2014-02-19
Captain: , Hayling Island (140)

Harbour can get very busy, so booing is essential. Central to yarmouth town. Close to the ferry terminal so can make entry interesting, so keep an eye out for the ferry.

Good nachos in the kings head, 2013-04-15

often popping over for nachos in the pub ;) great little town, nice chandlers here, great little cafe!

Very Crowded but great plaace with lots of character, 2013-04-11

Being one of the old school I still prefer the old layout but this harbour still has lots of charm.

Yarmouth is a great little town, the staff here are very freindly and helpful

The showers are pretty good for the solent area.

As long as the staff remain, 2011-07-25

What Yarmouth has lost for the inclision of floating pontoons the staff retain with the strength of their service. Do not forget to visit Salties

Yarmouth update, 2011-06-15
Captain: , Gosport (91)

We were there last weekend for the "Old Gaffers" event. Great fun with some fabulous old boats, a real Carnival event. The pontoons are now offering more walk ashore facilities (at a cost) but the harbour has not lost it's great charm. Harbour staff are really helpful & friendly. Still great value compared to other Solent harbours. Some good pubs ashore, Wheatsheaf has good food, good value but a bit lacking in atmosphere.

Yarmouth Hbr, 2010-08-17

In spite of being more or less full of pontoons it still has something of the feel of a small harbour. The RNLI lifeboat is pretty visible which is interesting, especially if you see it go out. Nice circular walk up the river and back. Look out for red squirrels. Some walkashore pontoons and a lot of pontoons on piles with no shore access. Water taxi to service those and the mooring bouys outside. I understand all pontoons will be walk ashore soon.

The Harbour Master at Yarmouth must be one of the most helpful I have ever met. This is an incredibly busy place in the summer but they always have time to sort out berthing arrangements in the most patient and reassuring manner.
