Reviews for Woods Hole Yacht Club
Secure Spot, 2015-10-18
Captain: , cruising (190)

Grab a mooring in this little bay because despite what AC says, there does not appear to be a spot to anchor and the depths at the mouth are quite deep. Even though its a yacht club, no YC affiliation was expected. Be sure to spend a little time at the cute YC building and getting the local lowdown from Skip, whose family has haunted these environs for generations. Woods Hole is a quaint little town, not overrun with tourists and where you can get most of what you need. The WHOI museum is smaller and shabbier than I expected, but the few exhibitions there are interesting and first rate. A must seel. Be careful of currents coming in and be sure the channel markers you are following are indeed for your channel, as there are several running in and out.

Woods Hole YC Mooring, 2012-07-27
Captain: , Branford, CT (980)

We came to Woods Hole to check out the land-based attractions. Skip was helpful and assured a mooring would be waiting for us. We were concerned 'cause of the strong thunderstorm forcast. Land attractions are a short walk. Lots of seafood spots and fresh bread at Pie in The Sky. They don't monitor the radio, so call ahead. Also, ask where to put your dink, and their dock is very crowded.

$40.00 a night. A good place to stop to see Woods Hole.
