Reviews for Wood Island Ferry Wharf
Great stop when making passage along south shore, 2015-08-12

Suprisingly a lot of things to do and sevices available! We stopped for a day because of W winds making passage to Shediac. Easy entry to harbour. Tied up outside of concrete fisherman's wharf (new!). Never many boats here. $10 for boats under 40ft nightly. Pay at Crabby's Seafood Shack. Water and power available. Can get a little bouncy with winds and wake from ferry - but not too bad. Nice beaches within walking distance. Loved fresh haddock bought at Crabby's Seafood Shack (takeout avail too). Loved breakast and fresh cinnamon rolls at Candy's Diner 1km away. Henna tatoos from certified artist next door from Candy's. Overall, lacks atmosphere but convenient stop with pleasant surprises!

Aug 2015 - Crabby's has been sold and now run by friendly local fisherman and his wife. Well organized and great seafood, fresh or prepared! Prices have gone up to $30 for 40ft and adjusted accordingly for smaller vessels. Candy's diner is now closed. Free Wifi at ferry terminal and at your boat when a ferry is in port as they have Wifi onboard. Also a small canteen at terminal and super clean washrooms.

Tied to a steel wall next to the ferry dock. Some turbulance when ferries come and go. Restaurant and gift shop close by. "Crabbys" sea food stand next to the wharf collects a $10.00 fee for tieing to the wall but he provided us with electricity.
