Reviews for Winter Harbor Yacht Club
Nice stop going Downeast, 2015-07-28
Captain: , Yarmouth, ME (192)

AWe stayed on a guest mooring one night. Price depends on the size of the boat. For our 28ft it was $30. Ravens Nest in town has a good lunch and we hear dinner. The IGA has the basics. A bit of rolling in a Southerly.

Lovely Hospitable Harbor, 2015-07-26
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (1011)

Winter Harbor Yacht Club provides heavy and secure moorings and is extremely hospitable. $45 per night.

This is a quiet and charming place to visit.

Take your tender around Harbor point to the liner Harbor to check out the gushing boats and lobster co-op.

Marginal AT&T signal

Nice old school club, 2014-07-27
Captain: , Milford CT (658)

Great food, if its nice you can sit outside for a nice view.
This place is old but very well maintained. Nice historic pictures and maps of grindstone neck. The trail out to grindstone point is nice but the best blueberrys are alongside the road.
They have a tender and water at the dock.
Stayed a night in end of July 2014, moorings $40 night, garbage service and tender included.

Very welcoming Friendly stay., 2012-08-28
Captain: , Annapolis (451)

Stayed 3 days on a mooring. Great service, launch, showers. Members Very friendly, offered assistance if needed, a lift to provision, a fire in the fireplace on a cold, dreary, rainy afternoon.
Lunch available at the club. Staff helpful.
Short walk to an IGA for provisioning. Beautiful Library. Nice restaurant in town.

Very friendly place, 2011-10-29

The club has a couple guest moorings for rent. The club house is very interesting--definitely worth a tour. The grounds have trails that are probably very scenic, but we didn't get a chance to walk them. To walk to the the town, you can land your dinghy at the beach at the head of the harbor, or just take it around the point into the inner harbor.

The other reviews are quite accurate. It is one of my favorite places, but I can also add that under certain conditions this is a really rolly harbor. I've been in here 6 or 8 pleasant times, but one dead calm night the ocean swells were coming all the way in straight from the south, and it was awful.

A pleasant club on Gridstone neck. Coming from down east it is a welcome stop if you find yourself later than you wanted to be. Showers may be especially welcome. It is seasonal and closes Labor Day weekend.

However, it leaves the moorings in for a while in September.
