Reviews for Willsboro Bay Marina

The marina is sheltered from wave action, but the wind can be interesting. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there were many people on the docks so we had adequate help getting in, but be careful, you can be set by the wind. The locals (mostly from Quebec) seem to head into their slip at high speed then apply strong reverse and toss lines to people on the docks. All while talking in French. Felt like we were in the French riviera!

Dinner at the restaurant, 2015-09-13

My wife and I and two other couples had dinner at the Willsboro Bay Marina over Labor Day weekend on Sunday evening ((9/6/15). The cheapest item on the menu for entries was $22 and it was a pasta dish with meatballs (venison and pork). This is what I ordered and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious but was a bit pricy. We all enjoyed our dinners and the service was very good as well. They had live music (2 man band) and they played very well and we enjoyed listening to the music during dinner. Overall it was a very pleasant evening.

5-27-15 - we are traveling north in a Mainship 31 motor yacht but ducked into Willsboro Bay in advance of big weather. Stayed one night. Facilities are very popular with big sailboats. Easy approach. Sheltered. Deep water at floating docks, dockhand to help getting in and settled, pumpout, Nice bathhouse. Well stocked marina store. Landscaped grounds, dog friendly. They charge for wifi, we did not use. Most expensive gas we have purchased on the Loop at $5.30 a gallon!

Not Great For Transients, 2014-06-25
Captain: , Chocowinity Bay, NC (180)

let me start by saying that this is a very nice marina. However, it is really not a very good marina for transients who are traveling. First of all, we came in on a windy afternoon and there were no dock hands to assist. We were docked in the first slip adjacent to the T dock, which was literally full of duck poop. in spite of the $2.50/ft.
docking fee, wi fi was an additional $10. We were looking forward to a nice lunch at the highly rated restaurant, but it is not open for lunch. Dinner entree's began at $27 for chicken and went up to $38 for steak. The bathrooms are nice. There was no shopping for 4 miles and no other restaurants within reasonable walking distance. All in all, a nice marina for slip holders who come by car, but not a great spot for transients.

clean and friendly, 2013-08-17

We came here from Burlington due east across the lake and found this to be a great place for hanging out and eating ashore. The docks are wide and new and stable. Pick up a sea anchor at the outter end of most finger docks to secure boat away from pounding against the dock in a north wind.

The chandelry here is one of the best stocked we have seen.

Beautiful!, 2011-03-01
Captain: , Stony Point, NY (852)

Modern facilities and GORGEOUS grounds. Almost all the boats were local. They welcome transients, but I don't think they get many. It is well worth the stop to relax on the wide lawns with a cool breeze off the lake. Well stocked ship's store.
