Reviews for Wickford Yacht Club
A Little gem of Narragansett Bay, 2016-09-06
Captain: , Fremont, NH (40)

This was a true delight. The staff was great and very organized. Booking and arrival was a breeze. The yacht club staff was very friendly and helpful, even provided me with a map and recommendations for dinner. We will absolutely be back.

Wonderful stay at the Wickford Yacht Club, 2016-07-29
Captain: , Boston (10)

Our first stay was so good, we came back for a second week! Here are the highlights:
- mooring just inside the breakwater providing easy access to Narragansett Bay
- Chuck at WYC is extremely helpful and friendly. He made our stay a real pleasure.
- The WYC has many amenities - nice bathroom/shower facilities (even have an outdoor shower accessible during off hours); ice available, wifi, patio/common areas available for guests, safe dinghy dock.
- Wickford Village is a short dinghy ride or walk away. Wickford Village is quaint and adorable with cute shops and a few restaurants (which are all good). I particularly loved the ice cream at Shayna's Place. Everyone in Wickford was SO nice! There are public dinghy docks and nicely maintained public restrooms at the park at Wickford Cove.
- Our dogs loved their stay. There is an unpopulated island across from WYC where the dogs were free to roam and swim. In the village, most of the shops have water dishes outside for dogs and some even have biscuits!
- We were able to walk or Uber to the Wickford Junction train station to catch an express train into Boston South Station. This made it feasible to commute into work in Boston on a few days during our stay.

We loved our time at the Wickford Yacht Club and will definitely be back for more.

Wickford YC, 2016-07-27

The folks at Wickford YC are very welcoming and the facolitis are clean. The YC is a short walk from the charming town of Wickford.

Ritz Carlton of marinas, 2016-06-28
Captain: , Thornwood,NY (40)

Absolutely the prettiest marina location and appearance. Always space for transients, even when full for the season. Just call ahead and they will be there to take your lines. New and clean docks. Spacious toilet rooms and separate shower rooms. About 1/2 mile to Town of Wickford but longer to resupply, the marina will furnish rides if asked. Beautiful patio with everything you need for bar-b-queuing supplied. An elevated hot tub overlooking beautiful Mill Pond preserve. Very reasonable stopover. I repeat, very beautiful spot.

A safe, attractive spot, 2012-09-06
Captain: , Annapolis (451)

We agree with the previous comments and have found Wickford to be a real gem when sailing in Naragansett Bay. The yacht club is friendly and their mooring field is relatively quiet and comfortable in most winds. The town is great for roaming around. Dave's supermarket is just outside town and a bit of a walk, but a superb place to provision.

A very pleasant memory, 2011-10-31

A nice low-key club. Decent showers. The walk from the clubhouse to town is through tree-lined streets with beautifully preserved and restored antique houses. The town is compact and very attractive with nice shops and restaurants.

Wickford Yacht club moorings, 2009-07-17

Club maintains 4 (?) transient moorings on north side of channel. First come first served. $40 per night. Lots of passing traffic but reasonably comfortable.
