Reviews for Wickford Town Dock
wickford town dock, 2014-08-11
Captain: , east greenwich, RI (90)

secure tie-up to floating dock. good restrooms with water fountain within sight of wharf. no more grocery store, sadly. plenty of expensive food of various types. antique and curio shops. art galleries. many OLD houses and churches. walk out to the harbor entrance to see them. there is a seafood restaurant out there. I take visiting guests here by boat for a unique taste of new england.

Sand bar off end of 1st dock, 2013-07-23
Captain: , Hull, MA (10)

Great location to take short walk around town and restock food supplies. Fairly deep draft for sailboats but stay in the channel as there's a sand bar that extends beyond the end of the first dock into the cove.

2 hour maximum - Great stop!, 2013-06-06
Captain: , Barrington RI (475)

This is a GREAT place to come ashore for a coffee, or a beer. Depth at the town dock is over 10', but space is limited. The town of wickford is a quaint New England gem!

Easy Stop for Quick Visit, 2012-12-28
Captain: , Newport, RI (249)

We have stayed in Wickford for several days at a marina, but we also scoot in here for a quick visit at the dock. It's easy to get in and out of, unless someone else is tied up in the middle - rare, but happens. There is an ice cream shop right next to the dock that's pretty good. We have usually been here on week days or after the seanson, so staying beyond the two hour limit hasn't been an issue - although, we do stay in sight of the boat.

Floating dock with good depth, 2012-07-21
Captain: , Marietta GA (416)

Sturdy cleats with enough depth for sailing vessels to tie to the face. Signage states two hour limit though it was deserted during our visit. Strict enforcement on the weekends but a little looser during the week has been our experience.

Dinghys tie up on the inside between the dock and the sea wall.

One well marked section is reserved for the harbor master. Trash cans on shore but no water tap that I could find.

Space is very limited but excellent way to see Wickford, 2012-01-18
Captain: , Apponaug, Rhode Island (274)

The dock space is limited in size. Approx 60 feet but if there is enough space for your boat, it is located in the heart of downtown Wickford. You can walk to all the stores and see the town that welcomes dogs almost everywhere. The limit on the town dock is two hours and is enforced.
