Reviews for Wickford Shipyard
Excellent Location, great marina, 2015-11-08
Captain: , Wickford, RI (380)

I'm bias, as this is my home port. But this marina has it all.
Location, it's a short dinghy ride to Wickford, a historical town, with lots of little shops. It's also a easy walk into town. The docks are new, with new power and water. It's one of the last marina's where you can do your own work, or if it's beyond your ability ask Wes the manager for help. Wes and the staff couldn't be easier to work with.

Brief but excellent visit, 2015-09-26
Captain: , Southwest Harbor, ME (185)

Beautiful, well maintained docks, good fuel price $2.75, each slip has fingers on both sides, wish we could stay longer

Great marina, great service, 2015-05-21
Captain: , Jamestown, RI (10)

Wes the yard manager is great and accomidating should you need work done. The docks are new and in great condition, the whole marina is very protected even in a hurricane. Dhort dingy ride to downtown Wickford.

Great Old School Shipyard, 2012-12-09
Captain: , Wickford, RI (386)

One of the last friendly do-it-yourself yards. In addition to the staff mechanics there are independent Canvas, Welding, and Machine shops at the yard as well as a host of available sub-contractors for electrical, fiberglass and electronics work.
The docks and facilities have been continuously upgraded during the past five years with new Ipe docks and in the fall of 2012 new boat storage sheds.
They haul boats with a Brownell trailer rather than a Travellift which can be a real benefit for wood boats.

Protected, clean, friendly, 2011-07-05
Captain: , Hilton Head, South Carolina (533)

WSY is not really for transients but does a very good job with layup, fuel and repair. Friendly yardmastere "Wes" will make good thiings happen for you. Transient dockage is available on an "as available" basis. Does not monitor VHF.
