Reviews for Weymouth Old Harbour
Great stopover, 2014-09-17
Captain: , Torquay UK (126)

Pick this one over Portland any day. Lots of alongside berths, but expect to be rafted in busy times. We stayed for 5 days, and loved it as we like to be in the hub. If you want a quiet time, the try elsewhere. Here you can almost be in the middle of the town, with multiple restaurants a few minutes away. Harbour staff are great and friendly, lovely showers etc. Sensibly priced fuel too, and a quirky siren to call the pump attendant.

Charming Harbour, 2013-03-24
Captain: , Conwy, N. Wales (13850)

We arrived in a force 8 from the East, having experienced 9 gusting 10 and were expecting trouble at the entrance, but the swell reduced as we approached and we were able to round up to wind fairly easily, then the harbour entrance is wide and easy to enter. Weymouth harbour is located right in the middle of the town, so the restaurants and bars start a few metres away from the harbour visitors pontoon. The pontoon is outside the Harbour Master's building, which is easy to spot from the water. Shower facilities are smart and new, though the 30 second timer on the showers is a bit annoying! We had a really good meal in Vaughans on the front, and good beer in the Sailor's Return just a bit further along.

View from a very short stay, 2010-10-03
Captain: , Gosport (294)

Got in at 21:00 and left the following morning at 08:00 so did not get a full view of the place. Office is not maned 24 hours so if arriving late phone up for the code for the showers and heads. We didn't and had to tailgate to be able to use heads in the morning. Found it dificult to get a meal after 9pm but found somewhere eventually.

Great Harbour and Beach, 2010-03-22
Captain: , Portsmouth (61)

Very popular summer location, great Victorian seaside town with traditional things for children. In summer they have Red Arrows.
