Reviews for Westland Marina
Very helpful, 2016-05-14
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (30)

We needed help resolving problems with our water pumps. Jeff was super helpful and did great work both on the boat and sorting out the pully and pump problem we were having.

DIY yard very messy underfoot sand/mud/dust/wet, 2016-02-07
Captain: , Milford Haven, Wales, UK (50)

OK i guess could be better. Only went there as we needed to haul to fix a transmission problem.
Bad town if you need work doing luckily we do all our own stuff.
Felt $50 charge for a tarp was a rip off as were we out a week and did nothing to the outside ie we made no mess.
Maybe the yard should look at sorting out the ground in the yard uneven sandy muddy when it rained i certainly wouldnt want to spend any more than a week here onboard.
The place needs gravel putting down like most yards do

Westland is great, 2016-01-06

Our 6th year storing out boat here summers. Friendly staff, easy going, interesting live aboards, flexible. Needs some improvements, but a great place.

Great Staff / Good place to work on your boat, 2015-08-10
Captain: , Evergreen , Colorado (181)

This is a great place if you need a haul out and do some work . If your not able then their staff can do the work . Left my boat there for four months and was safe and sound. The docks are older and would'nt really trust them and a major blow. Titusville has rental cars which make it easy to fly out of Orlando. A good place to lay over for a bit. Groceries and restaurants within walking distance.

Nice and Easy, 2014-10-30

Enjoyed our stay. Nothing too much trouble for Rick and Patricia or the guys in the yard. Plenty of manatees to look at too! A good place to stop if you need work done or need to haul. Friendly - just how I like it.

Great Staff and good DYI yard, 2014-05-29
Captain: , annapolis (453)

Westland Marina is a DYI yard. People haul out to work on their boats. Office Mgr, Patricia, will order from several suppliers or you can bring your own supplies. Yard Mgr., Rick, along with Jerry and Robert are helpful. I performed spring maintenance on my 37' sailboat in springs of 2010 and 2012 and was very satisfied with the marina. Good job power washing the bottom, environmental tarp spread, then boat blocked with water and elect within reach.

Stopped on my way north this spring just to say hi. If you want to work on your boat, give them a try.

Non existant internet access (a neccessity these day), 2014-02-12
Captain: , Brighton Ontario (10)

If you require any internet service let alone download a movie go elsewhere...this simple note took 45 minutes to post at 1:30 am in the morning...Brighthouse is a joke..better service with dial up in the 80's....Have been here for three years now and nothing has changed, as soon as we can we will be moving on. The people running the internet system don't understand the importance of good reliable internet service to cruisers..banking, skyping, downloading charts, entertainment, shopping..fixing issues on our boats.. Never going to improve because they have you by the short hairs....

Great place for DIY., 2012-06-11
Captain: , Laramie (177)

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Patricia can order from several marine suppliers and most things will be delievered the next morning. New bath/laundry facilities are very nice and kept clean and tidy.

Grocery store about 3 blocks away has most staples but is pretty basic. NAPA and a competent auto-electric place 4 blocks from marina.

Great stopto be hauled., 2012-05-23
Captain: , Madison, Ohio (400)

We decided to be hauled for huricane season to do some maintenance this year and a few friends recomended Westland. We just had the boat hauled a few days ago and are very satisified with the service and staff here, everyone is friendly and helpful, new restrooms, showers, and laundry area. some shopping and fast food within walking distance. We are able to work on our boat and can have electric and water right where the boat is tied down.

Nice stop on the ICW, 2012-05-19
Captain: , Ophelia, VA (849)

Stayed one night on our way north. The marina has new showers, laundry, and boater's lounge. Close to fast food restaurants and 40 minutes to Orlando and also across the bridge from Cape Canaveral.
The marina has a locked gate for security. It is also right next to a great park for dog walking and exercise with view of the water. We would stay there again.

They have a lift, 2012-02-04
Captain: , Sanford, FL (657)

Stopped here for 3 nights, Jan 16-19, 2012. Had to be hauled out for Prop change and zinc replacement due to accident at the NASA Railway Bridge. Tricia in the office helped us out a lot, and Rick in maintenace change our props very quickly and even drove me to Ace Hardware to get new zincs. And then we wee back in the water and on our way.

Nice overnight spot if needed, 2009-12-07
Captain: , Baltimore (317)

We got stopped in Titusville due to the bridge closing. Westland was cheaper then the municapal marina. The staff was very friendly. However, the town did not have much to offer.

Been there, did work there, 2007-07-12
Captain: , San Francisco (39)

This is a do it yourself yard with a travel lift and some competent folks running the yard that can get independent contractors to help and will help you locate parts. West Marine is 2 blocks away as is a machine shop. I thought it was bit pricey to get my 37' boat hauled--$700 to haul, set and two days on the hard, but you do not have many options in this area. Don't stay here as the Municipal Marina next door has much better showers and facilities for not much more.
