Reviews for Westbay Marina
Worst Marina in Puget Sound, 2011-11-03
Captain: , Chinook Landing Marina, Tacoma (315)

I try to not say negative comments about a business but when that business is putting boater at risk I feel I have little choice.

Of all the marinas we have visited this one was unbelievable. The primary powerlines for the marina were less than 7' above the dock at high tide, the docks are unstable to unsafe including rotten plywood decking. Worst of all, when I called the "marina office" in regards to docking our sailboat which I explained was 47' long and drew 7' I was told to tie up at the cafe dock. It wasn't until we were within a 60' turning basin that I saw the dock goes dry at low tide. Tugboat Annie's is okay food at prices higher than the quality justifies.

There are several options for moorage in Budd Inlet there is no need to go "where boats go to die".

West Bay Marina has the reputation of "where boats go to die." It's not too bad of a marina, but the owners put only the bare minimum to it. There's a nice restaurant - Tug Boat Annies. You can tie up there but be careful! At low tides the dock goes dry.
