Reviews for Wells Harbor Town Docks
Surprising !!, 2016-07-31
Captain: , Bourne, Ma (230)

We spent a night here on our way up the Main coast. I have to say I was a little concerned about the entry and depth further up the channel. Chris the harbor master was great. He led us up the channel. We had no difficulties. I will say we entered at the appropriate time and would definitely return but only with ideal conditions. The location was great. A fishing dock. Commercial fishing vessels in and out. Many people fishing from the dock. A beach to swim from 100 yes away. Kayak, jet ski, and stand up board rental. Or, if you would like to explore kennybunk port, wells, Ogunquit or York, a trolley stop at the dock. We will return. Of best of all, $30 per night. We are 36 ft and 3.6 draft

great stop, 2016-07-31

came in to duck out of a storm and Chris the harbormaster got us on a mooring near the channel..lots of fishing, swimming and kyaking..he warned us that we would be as close as 4 foot from the shore at low tide but promised we would be fine(4 ft draft) and we were...beautiful spot..no facilities except resteraunt

Great Stop, 2016-07-08

Second the pervious review. Tied up at the Town Dock ($30.00), Chris the dockmaster could not be more helpful. Entered on high tide, was thinking of leaving at low tide, thought better of it, some pretty skinny spots around the sewage lines.

Great stay, will definately be back.

A little bit of everything, 2015-06-25
Captain: , York, ME (1971)

Sturdy municipal transient moorings $15 per night, harbormaster says there's usually at least one available. Kayak or dinghy to the sandy beach right off the moorings, or through the wildlife refuge. Surprisingly good small chandlry and recreational fishing gear shop at the Webhannet River Boat Yard, along with haul-out and repair. Hobb's Harborside restaurant and bar is within 100 yards of the dinghy dock. A half-mile up the road is Firsherman's Catch, a local favorite. You can take the trolly into town for supermarkets and more restaurants. You can even rent a jet-ski or kayak at the town dock. There's a small park with covered picnic tables and and a playground just up from the dock.

The current is strong at the moorings, and a wind with a westerly component will funnel through the channel. It's not an extremely busy harbor, but there are some recreational and commercial fishermen coming and going.

Getting Better all the time, 2013-04-09
Captain: , Wells Harbor (26)

Improvements and upgrades are being made annually, and a full dredge is scheduled for Fall of 2013!
