Reviews for Waterford Harbor Marina
Just Relocated, 2016-03-24
Captain: , Milton, GA (70)

We just relocated from Hilton Head, SC as we prepare our s/v for full-time cruising. The facilities are top-notch, the staff are friendly - and the place is incredibly well kept and clean. Just a little more water in Clear Lake - and it would be 'perfect'..

Great looking Marina, 2014-05-28
Captain: , Kemah, Tx (143)

Floating docks. They have their own restaurant/bar on site.
The people are friendly. They also have a pump-out station open to all. There is security that makes the rounds. They also have cameras in certain places.

A great home away from home, 2014-01-06

We had a wonderful 6 month stay at this Marina. The grounds are well maintained, staff excellant, docks clean and safe. I would recommend this Marina over all the others we visited in the area.

Great marina with excellent, well kept facilities. Pool, dry sauna, tennis court, workout room with equipment, large parking lot, pump out station. Great, friendly, accomodating staff. The only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 star is that the WiFi sucks.

West Coast Style Marina in the Gulf, 2013-11-07
Captain: , Kemah, TX (234)

Floating docks and fingers on both sides. Clean bathrooms, lots of ammenities and pump out station. This marina will stand with the best marinas in Southern California and a really nice change for a Gulf Marina that I hope will catch on more. Hard to go wrong here.

Very nice facility, 2013-06-03
Captain: , Port Aransas, TX (362)

We enjoyed our stay here. Grounds are nicely landscaped but lots of "no dogs" signs by most landscaped areas with only 1 approved dog area (may have been a second area at opposite end of marina). Dog area is grassy with many Live Oaks for shade. Rest rooms and laundry were clean and well maintained. Restaurant/bar on site is very good with nice views of the marina and pool area.

We were here during some very low tides with minimal comfort zone for our 5'9" draft. We stirred up a lot of mud in the entrance channel but depths in the slip area was somewhat better. Tide gauge is most helpful, located near office and also viewable from marina web site link via webcam.

Been here for 6 months and heading to FL. Only wish FL had one as nice

Best marina seen to date, 2012-09-22
Captain: , Houston, TX (114)

Helpful staff, reasonable prices, GREAT yacht club, food, and service. Very enjoyable pool and floating docks. Shallow entrance, but good dredged harbor once you get in. Probably the best Hurricane Hole on the Gulf.

Greatest Marina on the Texas Coast, 2011-08-09
Captain: , Kemah, TX (230)

This is the most expensive marina in the clearlake area but its amenities far exceed any other marina anywhere close.

It is like being on permanent vacation, with neighbors!

Waterford Yacht Harbor, Kemah, TX, 2011-06-01

Best Hurricane hole in Houston Galveston area. Rated by U.S.C.G.
as BEST. Floating docks with 17' post.

Waterford Harbor Marina, low service and water, 2010-07-16
Captain: , houston, tx (393)

I was an occupant for approximately 6 years. The BEST hurricane hole on Clear Lake and nice facilities. However, the water depths are problematic, especially in winter or with any sustained northerly component wind. Staff friend;y but the service is only fair. An attitude of like it or leave it exists.

Great Place, 2010-01-29
Captain: , san antonio, tx (260)

Friendly staff and nice facilities with floating docks. Our boat was here when we bought it and we stayed here for 4 months. The pool and hot tub are very nice and the restrooms and laundry rooms are clean. The on-site restaurant is good and they have good specials.

hurricane hole, 2009-07-17
Captain: , Parker, CO (301)

Neat, clean, well maintained marina. Restrooms cleaned daily. Great laundry facilities, nice pool and hot tub. Poolside bar service. Maintenance issues are addressed very quickly. Floating docks are being upgraded. Many marina hosted functions. Coffee provided Saturday and Sunday mornings near marina office. My research shows this to be the best hurricane hole in the area.

Great marina with a couple of issues..., 2009-07-01
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (175)

As a previous reviewer commented, this is a wel kept marina that is perhaps the best place to be in a hurricane if you are unfortunate enought to be in TX when one hits. Zero damage from hurricane IKE for me.

However, before you sign a lease on a slip, make sure your boat will actually make it down the channel and through the fairways. IKE may have caused some silting. It's more and more common to see boats stuck in the mud trying to get in or out of their slip and even the marina itself...

Would be 5 stars if they dredged a bit...

Kept my boat here for 7 years, 2009-05-21
Captain: , Kemah Texas (25)

Its not the cheapest marina in the area, but has some of the best facilities. Everything is kept is good repair. All the facilities are kept exceptionally clean (heads, showers, laundry). On top of that my boat has ridden out two hurricanes in this marina. Rita and Ike. Ike did a number on the surrounding area causing CNN worthy damage to most marinas in the area. Stacking/sinking boats etc. The boats in Waterford rode up 12 feet with the floating piers and settled back down whren the surge subsided. The only damage I saw was to some of the finger piers as a couple of the larger boats ripped a cleats off the finger pier. This occurred on some of the older slips...which were in the process of being replaced when Ike hit. In short....a great place to hide from a hurricane.
