Reviews for Walden's Marina
Superb repairs, good marina, 2015-11-10
Captain: , Alameda (667)

Pulled in here to deal with some leaks and hoses. Had no problems negotiating the channel. Inside the basin, depths were more than 7.5 foot on the north side of the green marker to the end dock at Walden's where we tied up.

Costa is fantastic. We had called ahead and he was waiting to start debugging and working on the boat. He has a phenomenally complete parts and supplies inventory, and nearby stores for the few items he might not have. He ordered some hose for us late in the day and it was at the marina by the start of the next work day.

After replacing a one severely rotted hose and a few suspect hoses, we still had a leak. Turned out that a brass fitting had cracked. Costa found it quickly and had a new one in place quite fast.

Prices were very fair, Costa put in a lot of effort to get our work done quickly and back underway.

There is wifi available, but cell service is mediocre.

Great place for capable repairs.

Great Service and excellent value. , 2013-09-06
Captain: , Hurricane, WV (252)

Very accommodating and excellent prices. Had my boat pulled and bottom painted, fixed my electrical glitch that I had put up with for 2 seasons and finished on time with no problems. Saved several dollars/ft by coming here.

Great Service Facility, 2013-06-18
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (30)

Knowledgeable service department and very helpful Costa and Ainsley know their stuff and beat other local prices. More importantly they don't over service. They do the work that needs to be done and don't expand the scope. I found them to be trustworthy and reliable. Will go back for more work this winter.

Good value, 2012-01-10
Captain: , florida (230)

We stayed here two nights waiting on weather. The staff was ery helpful and friendly. One loaned us his car so we could make a grocery run.

As others mentioned, the bathrooms could use some updating but were clean overall and satisfactory. The water has a sulpher smell so don't put it on your boat.

Broad Creek is really well protected. The entrance is narrow but well marked. Don't wander from the channel.

Fantastic "old time" boatyard chandlery, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Hampton, VA (2502)

I've never stayed here but come here whenever I can't find that hard to get part. They often have it on the shelf somewhere, and I leave wondering why I didn't come here first.

A good boatyard, 2010-10-16
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

This is mainly a repair yard, but they do have a few transient slips. We had our bottom cleaned and painted here. They came through on time and at the price quoted on the phone. The staff are all very helpful, and anxious to please. Only down side is the water here smells, so don't plan on filling your freshwater tanks.

Staff friendly and helpful. They ran us up to the grocery store
