Reviews for Virginia Beach Fishing Center
great staging spot for tall masted boats, 2016-05-27

There is an annex south of the bridge that has fuel and water. shite finger pier with piling makes it hard to get on and off but saves you 40 miles if you other option is to go into Hampton. lots of noise from the jets if they are operating but it seems to died off at night. helpful dock hand as well. Will be back if going offshore around Hatteras or up to Cape may. The 3 stars is more to do with lack off facilities at the annex and the noise. I'm sure the rest of the marina is fine but didn't get there.

What a find! We were heading off shore from the Chesapeake. Our timing could not have been worse ,the "Salty Dog" and"Caribbean 1500" were just leaving the bay and none of the marinas in Little River had diesel! We called around and found that "Virginia Beach Fishing Center (south side)" in Rudee Inlet has a fuel dock on the ocean side of the fixed inlet bridge! There are no facilities at this location just large slips with fuel and water. When we called we were asked to give them a heads up when we were 15 minutes out. Two attendants met us at the dock and helped us back into the fuel slip with our 23' beam (they can accomodate wider). We have been in the inlet in past trips but just chose to anchor in the well protected area to port of the entrance with good holding and adequate depths for most cruisers.

Great stop if you are going south outside and planning to enter Oregon inlet. Easy in and out, nice, help[ful staff.
