Additional info:

Slightly confusing markers at the harbor entrance. Boater's depth sounder indicated about 6 foot true water depth at about 30 feet east of the breakwater end. Still not sure if I was in the right spot. Fortunately the water is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. Just go slow and keep an eye out. 2015

Reviews for The Village Marina
Wonderful dockage in heart of Senecal Lake!, 2017-07-17
Captain: , Ocala FL (515)

Dockage is only $30 per nightwithout or $40 with electric, but not all docks have 50 amp service.
John thhe Dockmaster was absolutely outstanding in working with us and getting us secured.
We didn't get to try the restaurant on site because the waiting line was too long for us. It sure smelled great though!
We did get to Nickel's Pit BBQ, about a 4 block walk into town and it was outstanding! There are several other restaurants on the main street (Franklin) including Chineese, Italian, Pizza, Ben & Jerry's, a Steak and Seafood shop, a Microbrewery and a few other pub's.
No laundry facility on site, but showers are clean. Get key from Dockmaster.
We were here for the Watkins Glen Wine Festival held out at the Watkins Glen raceway. $14 taxi ride each way was worth it. Returned to the boat with 4 cases of various wines.

Nice town, not my favorite marina, 2015-09-10
Captain: , Oneida, NY (264)

The dockmaster was very pleasant and helpful. The dock was a bit wobbly and could have used another cleat or two. The transient slips are all right next to the restaurant, which was quite busy and noisy. Bathrooms were okay, not great. Water pressure was low.

Wildlife is fun to watch., 2015-08-17
Captain: , Phoenix,NY (317)

The staff is very easy going. There is a family of mink living in the breakwall, thaqt is fun to watch.

Nice in town marina, 2015-01-13
Captain: , Seneca Lake NY (313)

Most convenient location for Watkins Glen stop.
Most shopping & shore services close by
Restaurant at the marina very good
Walking distance to Wantkins Glen State Park Gorge

Watkins Glen is a great stop, 2014-07-14
Captain: , South Freeport, ME (114)

We love this stop. the view of the lake is fantastic and the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel next to the marina has excellent food. the marina is well protected by the breakwater and the depth is good. in a strong northerly you might get a motion. The docks are older wooden fixed piers but he are serviceable as are the boater rest rooms. the dockmaster captain Terry lives on his boat on the east pier. that pier is reserved for transient dockage. Terry is not particularly good about answering his phone and you can't leave him a message. if you have a big boat be persistent. it is a popular stop for locals on the weekend.

Village Marina Watkins Glen, 2011-07-28
Captain: , Grand Island, New York (150)

Spent 5 days at this marina in July 2011. The harbormaster was accomodating and personable. Transient slips of multiple sizes available. Within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shops, and an excellent attraction- Watkins Glen State Park. Village Marina Bar & Grill at the end of the transient pier is very convenient. Negatives- lack of pumpout and lukewarm showers.

Only game in town, 2011-06-17
Captain: , Stratford, CT (658)

Old docks and showers that need a good cleaning are what you get for $40 cash, along with a good location to walk to Walmart and to Watkins Glen State Park to see the waterfalls-a must see-definitely worth the walk. No dogs allowed in Watkins Glen State Park so leave your pooch on board.
There is a restaurant on site but we did not eat there.

Village Marina in Watkins Glen, 2009-08-03
Captain: , St Louis (671)

Nice marina very convenient to downtown Watkins Glen with restaurant on-site. Transient dockage is limited for larger boats with most of the slips on the eastern most dock. Slips are between pilings with short finger piers, the T-head is about 50ft long and only one on the eastern most dock was available when we were there in July. Price for was $40/night for a 40ft boat including 30amp electric and water – CASH. The eastern dock can get some wave action from north winds. Super Wal-Mart is a 10 minute walk for groceries and the downtown area has the usual assortment of shops and restaurants. If you are heading down Seneca Lake then this is most likely the only marina you will find with transient dock space.
