Reviews for Village Marina
Hatteras Village Marina review, 2010-12-15
Captain: , Oriental, NC (130)

We sailed to Hatteras recently. We found the channel into Hatteras Village Marina difficult to follow. We ended up running aground. We draft 4'6" with our centerboard up. I didn't think the channel was marked well enough for being so narrow.
The marina was nice except for the bathrooms, which were filthy. After mentioning it to the marina office, they looked at them and agreed. They were cleaned the next day. Hatteras Village has lots of history. We visited the museum that was within easy walking distance of the marina. We enjoyed Hatteras Island. Bikes can be rented about a mile down the road. We rode to Buxton to see Hatteras Lighthouse. We would go back again, but the channel was difficult. This marina is right beside the ferry dock which makes it easy to find, but a little noisy.
