The marina is situated very near the main town and is well maintained, though there is a bit of silting and the depth is variable - if you're maneuvering close to the gate opening / closing time or when the gate is closed then the depth can be less than 1.7 metres. The marina has recently doubled in size, which has increased visitor capacity and the condition of the marina pontoons is good. The facilities have just been hugely improved by the building of a dedicated toilet and shower block. It's unisex, but there are individual cubicles and it's a vast improvement over the old portacabins.

We really like Caernarfon and the harbourmaster Mark is really friendly and helpful. The town is great - it's an old walled town and there are some lovely nooks and crannies to explore and a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops. If you are too tired to walk anywhere, there are bars and restaurants right alongside the marina too.

On the whole, well worth a visit. 4 stars overall, just some dredging to remove the shallow spots and it would be 5.

The town is worth a visit, but the marina needs tarting up a bit, but it is reasonably priced. The showers/heads leave a lot to be desired.
