Nice, welcoming stop!, 2016-06-22
Captain: , Houston (140)

We have reciprocity from our yacht club in Texas. The staff was more than welcoming. Docks are fixed and quite narrow, but the friendliness of the staff made up for it!

Very nice club, friendly members, 2015-11-12
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7375)

Made reservation over phone, staff member at dock to help guide us in. Don't depend on Vhf, they do not monitor. Nice fixed docks, the transient spots at either end of the T-Head have rubber bumpers, so finders not needed. Good power, had trouble with internet connection. Very active club with something happening every day except Mondays. When club closed, or for showers, use facilites at next door VB City Marina. VBYC will give you the security codes.

Great club but they enforce 40' max, 2013-04-07
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3159)

We stayed here for years in one of the two transients slips. As Florida Council YC members we had first night free. But now they are requiring a max length of 40'.

small but worth he visit!, 2013-03-17
Captain: , lighthouse point (289)

A very small marina with a outstanding restaruant and wonderful service, part of the FCYC.

Another wonderful stop on the ICW., 2012-12-04

This is a great place to gatherand wait prior to crossiing. This has everything you need, access to great restaurants, shopping via a free bus, walks to the beach, showers and laundry. It is also fun meeting new folks that you are often moored with!

Great Place!, 2012-11-07
Captain: , Kemah, TX (622)

We weathered the dirty side of Hurricane Sandy on a mooring ball here. The mooring balls are new and secured by both pilings and helix screws. We were on ball 5 to begin with which was fine, but decided to move up into north end of the channel to ball 49 for the heavy north winds. Worst winds were 45+ knots and every one of the 25 boats were just fine.

Excellent, friendly service. Great dinghy dock with camera security.

As of Nov 1, 2012, mooring balls were $15 per night. Well worth it. Will go back again!

Love 'Velcro Beach', 2012-06-06
Captain: , Punta Gorda. FL (360)

Cruisers call it that because its hard to tear yourself away and move on. The small FCYC club, surrounded by the excellent Vero Beach City Marina, has a nice dining room and bar, a welcoming staff and friendly members. This snug waterway area is decorated with moored, nicely maintained cruising sailboats (surprisingly few cookie cutter chlorox bottle vessels). The beach, with several good restaurants, is about an eight block walk east. The free bus picks you up next door and takes you west into town to the excellent shopping centers a couple of miles away.

A Small, Private Yacht Club, 2011-04-06
Captain: , Lewes, Delaware (10)

A small, private yacht club next to City Marina. 3 transient slips, FCYC & others with introduction. Wonderful staff, food, & atmosphere.
