Reviews for Vermilion Public Guest Docks
City Docks, 2015-07-14

Reasonable place to stay, docks are floating, restrooms are right there, very basic... there is now a gazebo with a grill to use. in walking distance is a 5 star french resturant with an lesser expensive upper floor. and a great Chezk resturant-the Prague.
Rudys bar in town is within walking distance. Capt. Ed- manager of the docks is great!

Great place to visit, 2014-08-26

As the brochures state, Vermilion is a quaint town with much to do, many places to eat, and just a great place to visit. Although bicycles are helpful, we almost always walk everywhere. Highly recommend Vermilion as a destination.

Great place for fine dining and dinghy cruises, 2012-05-18
Captain: , Cedar Point, OH (659)

The lagoons neighborhood and the river in general make for great dinghy explorations. Make sure to include at least 1 meal at Chez Francois during your stay. The docks themselves are basic, but it's a nice place to be.

OK stop, but wouldn't go out of our way to go there.

Docks are floating, but they drop by about a foot when you step on them. No cleats.

There are bathroom/shower facilities, but they are open to the general public.

It's a nice downtown, but not a lot there.

Okay place to stop, 2009-08-12
Captain: , Stuart FL Middletown RI (240)

When we stayed at the Vermilion Public Docks we were placed on a side-tie in front of a restaurant on the east side of the river. The docks were in good shape, and we had access to good restroom/shower facilities in the restaurant.

We were a bit disappointed in Vermilion village overall. The cruising guidebooks tout Vermilion as a charming town full of good restaurants and interesting stores. Maybe that was the case years ago, but we couldn't find much of interest there in 2009. The restaurant where we were docked was mediocre, and the coffee shop mentioned in the guidebook we read was nowhere to be found.

The Vermilion Public Docks offer a satisfactory place to stop overnight, but do not expect too much from Vermilion.
