Reviews for Ucagiz Koyu Baglama Iskelesi
Very picturesque bay, 2013-09-28
Captain: , Fremantle, West Australia (1448)

This is the best anchorage in the area from a safety viewpoint. Very large areas to the west and east for many boats. Good holding in mud (You will need to wash all your chain and anchor on the way up as the mud sticks!) Dinghy in to the restaurants - go to the ones at the back away from the dock if you want better prices.
Dinghy to the castle by going out and around if you want OR dinghy up to the kayak storage sheds at the Eastern end and walk to the rear of the tombs and castle.

A mini tanker fills up the charter/day tripper Gulets so perhaps you could organise fuel from them

Entering Ucagiz:, 2013-01-07
Captain: , Kas Antalya (380)

Ucagiz Limani is a large bay completely closed out of the channel on the W Kale Koy.
From Kale Koy, take the main channel, which is then divided in two by a small island surrounded by submerged rocks. This island is seen from as far as a brown stain. The depth in the channel is from September to October fc medium and 3 to 5 m on the edges. This passage go to Ucagiz Limani is not difficult.

Once you are in Ucagiz Limani can anchor wherever you want:

Opposite the village by 3-5 m of mud in the bottom, there are several local restaurants. There are 1.5 m to 2 m depth at each end.

You can also anchor in the E half of the bay by 4-5 m of the shore opposite the ruins.

You can still moore to pontoons W restaurants taking care of depth.

Very good shelter.

Eastern Bay is the necropolis of the ancient Lycian city of Teimiussa with numerous Lycian sarcophagi and a small acropolis on a rocky promontory.
