Took on fuel here and purchased jugs of water 6/21/2016. Gas is ethanol free. The three, one gallon jugs of water got us through to Jekyll Island. Cricket and his buddy helped us dock, at my request. It was full ebb. Fuel dock is adjacent to the restaurant and is thus protected by the two T-docks that project into the river. Current was not as bad as I had expected based on earlier reviews. Gators prowl the water between the fuel dock and the restaurant. They looked like they were accustomed to getting plenty of scraps thrown their way by the partiers on the restaurant deck. Ask Cricket to show you his baseball hat signed by Gregg Allman, who according to Cricket, makes a point of dropping by whenever he's in the area.

Friendly people and good docks, 2015-01-21

Bathrooms were a bit tire. People were very friendly. Strong current docking at slack tide is definitely easier. Restaurant was nice, not extraordinary.

Two-way Fish Camp Marina, 2013-06-28

I spent the night of the 21st and 22nd of June at the marina. It is a shallow when you start up the river, but reasonablly marked. Docing was realitive easy on the face dock. The facilities are a little run down. A really good power washing of the docks would go a long way to improve the look of the marina. A number of boats looked abandoned, maybe powerwash them too. The marina staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean but old. The washer and dryer both worked. The two star rating was for the on-site resturant, Mudcat Charlies. The food was fish camp quality with the fish grease soaked. The staff was okay, but the older waitress was excellent.

It's the Journey, Not the Destination(s), 2013-06-21

OK, the place is funky, the current at max ebb can be scary (stop at the T-head), there isn't convenient shopping, but..... It is a fish camp in rural Georgia, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the marina store is worth the price of admission. Mud Cat Charlie's is a culinary experience. I would definately come back; it is a memory of the trip that will stick.

Don't put their water in your tanks, 2011-11-23

Two Way Fish Camp is what it is. Mud Cat Charlies is a good place to eat. But over-priced for the quality of the facilities. Water at the dock has slight brown tint, needing water we let it run a while and put some in one tank. In retrospect, shouldn't have done that.

Good food when open. Decent docks

Back Water marina with good simple food. Extreme currents make, 2010-05-01
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

Nice folks but real a rustic spot with very high currents (especially ebb) that make docking into slips tough. Tee heads ok. The fuel dock is a very tough approach down a narrow fairway 90 degrees to the current. The hoist launch and fuel dock are badly silted in. Mud Cat Charlies Restuarant has good inexpensive food served on paper plates with plastic utensils.

Two Way Fish Camp / Mud Cat Charlies', 2010-02-24
Captain: , Cresent, Georgia (131)

The main reason to plan a stop here is the resturant--MUD CAT CHARLIE'S. Excellent local sea food. This is also the marina used for the Federal Law Inforcement Training Facility in Brunswick, so do not be alarmed to see a dozen or more DEA style boats in the marina when you arrive. The current can be fast--be aware.

An "Old Georgia" atmosphere. Nice people and a good on site restuarant and bar. The marina rest rooms were loaded with mosquitos [The Georgia state bird]. It is about 4 miles off the ICW with a well marked approach chanel.

I know there are few and far between places to stop, but ,there is NO courtesy car, way to far to walk for supplies , nice restaurant with bar on property, laudry, showers, kind of a run oft the icw, lots of current

Great Expectations - Jim, 2009-03-24

Basic facilities with a fairly good restaurant on site, resonable rates and friendly people. Great for one night to catch the tides the next day to get through the skinny water north of there.
