Reviews for Two-Way Boat Yard
Highly recommend this yard, 2016-11-17
Captain: , Milwaukee WI (929)

We left our 34 ft sailboat here for the summer of 2016. Haul out and staging of the boat on concrete slab was professionally done. We were able to stay on the boat in the yard while we prepped to leave it.

Five months later Hurricane Matthew come through here and our boat was cared for by the manager, Charlie Johnson, who personally attended his boats in the middle of the night the storm struck. We had no damage.

We hired the yard to do some repair work on keel and rudder as well as waxing the hull prior to launch. All were done to our satisfaction. We sanded and painted the bottom ourselves. Again we stayed on the boat while doing the work. After launch we moved the boat to the marina, which is under separate management.

The price was reasonable, the work done was what we expected. The personal care of all of the staff was excellent. Yes the location is a bit off the ICW and the facilities are dated but neither of these detracts from the great service.

"Danger" Stay Away, 2014-02-04

Wish we had a -Star to check: Avoid this boat yard like a dangerous rocky shoal. We had our boat bottom refinished here in June 2012. We just had to have it completely re-sanded because of extensive blistering. This boat yard did a completely unprofessional job on my boat. They do not know what they are doing. This is a hard lesson for me on getting what you pay for. Eat at Mud Cat Charlies, but stay clear of the boat yard.

Very Good Boat Yard, 2010-06-14

Two-Way is several miles off the ICW, but is a very good marina with an excellent boat yard facility. Navigating the South Altamaha River at low tide can be a challenge. If you have a choice come up the river at high tide. Mudcat Charlie's Restaurant is very good. I've always found the folks there to be very accomodating.
