Reviews for True World Marine Sales, Service and Repair
Nice marina awaiting a pull, 2016-05-01
Captain: , Lewis Creek, Md (1304)

The one issue this marina has is the lack of slow speed no wake signs. Power boats either start picking up speed after Jarretts or slow down opposite your docked boat. Try to limit your exposure on the dock. The bathroom is nice and free laundry.

Fast efficient yard, 2016-02-07
Captain: , Fort Myers, Florida (687)

Struck my prop on a submerged object and needed to get it reconditioned. Contacted the yard Saturday Morning (They were open) and told them I would be there Sunday night. Decent floating dock with 30 or 50 amp service. Had me out of the water and blocked by 10am. They use outside contractors for some work such as pulling wheels. He arrived as they were blocking the boat. They shuttled the prop back and forth to the prop shop. Allowed me to stay on the boat over night. Back in the water the next afternoon. Stayed on there dock that night. The yards portion of the bill including Haulout, dockage, and shuttling the prop was only $500! One of the best yards I've been in! Ask for George (he speaks the best english).

These guys are like family, 2014-05-17
Captain: , Harpswell, Maine (30)

We have had two stays at True World where we prepped our 35' sail boat for a winter in the Bahamas and then a trans-Atlantic. The guys are fantastic and treated us like family. The kids can't wait to get back there. There is over-night dockage, great new facilities including laundry, and plenty of resources at your fingertips in this large marine-based industrial park. The closest shopping/restaurant is a gas station, a 15-minute walk.

Couldn't be any better, 2014-05-10
Captain: , East Greenwich, RI (660)

We ran aground about 80 miles south of Morehead City and bent a prop . . . We called True World Marine and they arranged for us to stay at their dock that night with a promised haul out in the morning, which they did. Before we arrived, they had arranged for a mechanic to pull off our props and called ahead to a prop shop for the repair. They could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. They had us back in the water fullly repaired early afternoon the following day. They made a tough situation so much better and we would never hesitate to recommend this boat yard to anyone. They were so good that they gave us their company car to use for a day and a half at no charge so we did not have to arrange for a rental car. On top of this, the facilities were new, modern, spotless and beautifully maintained. Our special thanks to Keenan and George. Thank you!!

Service & Storage, 2014-02-10
Captain: , New London, PA (302)

A friend and I took his boat there for storage and some work. Friendly staff and good hospitality.

Nice facility, 2014-01-24
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (235)

Keenan and Patrick are great and treated us very well. We stoped by based on recommendation from friend who likes to haul here on his way N or S. New facility that is kept exceptionally clean. Nice lounge available during office hours. WIFI now available on dock. Head and shower are new and clean. Lots of options for repairs with onboard talent, several marine shops in the industrial park and DIY or outside contractors allowed. Dockage cheaper than most at $1.50/ft in Jan14.

True World - Good Choice, 2013-10-02
Captain: , New Bern, NC (73)

With the snow birds beginning their migration south, I thought I would put in a word on behalf of True World Marine in Beaufort, NC. They manufacture a small range of fishing boats in the 20-30 foot range in addition to storage and repair of most any boat

They are located roughly midway between Oriental and Morehead City, right on the Adams Creek portion of the ICW - about mile 198. They are adjacent to the Jarrett Bay facility for those familiar with the area.

If you need a short haul, bottom paint or minor repair, they might be worth your consideration. They also have some transient dockage if needed, though I would not characterize them as a full service yard (nor are there any restaurants within walking distance). In the same marine industrial park however are several specialty contractors (electronics, diesel, etc.) that should handle most any involved repair that they don't offer.

They have treated me very well in the past.

Ask for Keenan, Yard Manager ( 252.723.9370 ) or Patrick ( 252.728.2541 ).

In no way financially connected to the above.

good stop for repair, 2013-04-24
Captain: , solomons md (190)

We needed to replace our galley windows on our 34 year old Hatteras and Lookout Boat Windows INC suggested the stop. Although there is limited transient space, the facilities are top notch. Good lounge and new bath and toilet facilities. This is a do it your self yard that can accomodate live aboard on the hard needs. The fiberglass replacements were fantastic and the support superior. Anyone with older boats of any make with rotting aluminum window frames should give Broadus Rose at 252-723-2222 a call. No more leaks!
