I can't say enough good things about this marina and its' Dockmaster Molly. Has to be the nicest place in Rockland. A pretty harbor walk to town with lots to do. Art and food!! Courtesy car is great. Five star all the way.

8/12/16 The Yachting Solutions Boat Basin has become a favorite stop for Rockland. We forgot about the boat show this year when we arrived, but Molly, the new dockmaster, went out of her way to accommodate us. The level of service here is exceptional.

August, 2014. Went to Trident to meet up with some guests and be near Main Street for activities. We ended up staying three nights due to the weather, but the folks there couldn't have made our visit any more pleasant. It is a fairly private and secure marina. They bend over backwards to accommodate and even have a courtesy car available. Very close to shops, the Farnsworth, Hamilton Marine, etc. Decided to take care of some maintenance items due to the down time, and Yachting Solutions was able to provide a marine electrician to assist. They do not have a lot of transient space, but if it's available, it is very nice.

Best in Rockland, 2016-08-08
Captain: , Daniel Island, SC (310)

Rockland is a "must stop" destination and Trident is the best in town. The service from Charlie is top-notch, the restrooms are well maintained as is the FREE laundry. A courtesy car is the marachino cherry.
There are numerous excellent restaurants in town, including James Beard Award winning Primo making this the best stop on the Penobscot.
Disagree with the previous reviewer concerning the rolling. It all quiets down at night.

New Dockmaster Molly Olsen has reached full stride by providing outstanding service to each guest. We had an engine issue and parent company Yachting Solutions had it resolved in less than 24 hours. The loaner cars are a huge plus for re-provisioning.

Nice facility but terrible protection , 2014-08-15
Captain: , Glastonbury, CT (252)

Nice new marina. Charles the dock master was very accommodating. Showers heads and laundry are immaculate and very nice. However Rockland is a good name for this harbor. There is a constant wake surge even in calm weather and it is felt at the Marina docks. Of all the places in Rockland Trident looks to have the best protection from summer winds but you will still roll a bit here. We spent two night during a spell of bad weather because there is a lot to do in town. However the second night it blew a steady 30 from the a East an we were VERY uncomfortable at Trident. Had it blown from the Northeast Trident,s docks would have been untenable. There is talk about more docks with wave attenuating floats which would probably help a lot.

Great facility and service., 2012-07-29
Captain: , Red Brook Harbor, Ma. (195)

Charlie indeed does a great job and the facility is top notch. Very clean, new restrooms and showers and a very nice resataurant on site. Charlie is a also a excellent cruising guide, ask him about off the radar gunk holes and other local knowledge. Little bit of a hike to town but bikes are there is you prefer.

Charlie runs a very good facility. He got us in after a cancellation. This is the place to pause for some very easy provisioning, cleaning, and to read the NYT he places on your boat.

Top notch facility- super clean, 2011-09-19

On our fall cruise downeast we found Trident Marine in one of the guide books. We called them and were walked into the harbor and greeted by Charlie at the dock. Since this was our first time here we were surprised by the brand new facility. The floating docks were just put in and the shower facilities were like walking into a high end spa. Charlie gave us some restaurant ideas and the keys to a loaner car. We ended up going to "In Good Company, 415 Main Street) for an outstanding meal ($$$). While Rockland is a bit commercial we would stay at Trident Marine again.

Very accommodating. Not much to add from previous except there is wifi now. Free bicycles and complimentary NY Times left in my cockpit every morning was a nice touch. Check out The Strand theatre for a movie or live act it's a 10 minute walk.

Great Stay, 2011-07-27

Good quality floats; restaurant right there and another 100 yards away. Charlie Foote was very accomodating and supportive. We would go back in a heartbeet. Rockland offers a lot to do and is an easy walk from the marina.

Excellent marina, 2010-08-31
Captain: , New York, NY (200)

Outstanding staff - thank you, Charlie and Adam! Pump out at your slip, courtesy car, FREE laundry, clean facilities. A decent restaurant with a great indoor/outdoor bar right at the top of the dock. Trident is bit on the expensive side, but we think it's well worth it.

Delight enviornment, 2010-07-28
Captain: , Sarasota (371)

Everyone we met was very nice. Cleanest bathrooms & showers we'ver ever seen. Lots of boaters to chat with and plenty of good restaurants nearby.
No Wifi, and no provisions for disposing of oil. Don't come here to work on your boat, just to enjoy it.

Big Changes For the Better!, 2010-06-18
Captain: , Belfast Maine (111)

Checked out this Marina on a return from wintering down south. It used to be a very exclusive corporate fleet marina, but it has now changed hands and offers a hearty welcome to transients. The Restrooms, Laundry & Showers are brand new but were'nt quite finished - hence the four stars. On the other hand, I was told the laundry and showers will be free. They offer guests free courtesy bikes, have a free courtesy car and you are just a few feet away from the pedestrain walkway that winds along the Rockland shore, very close to all the restaurants, bars, museums and shopping for which revitalized Rockland is becoming famous. The quay offers really good protection from the swells that plague the rest of Roickland harbor, and the only real exposure is to the north(landward) so there is very little fetch. 30,50 & 100 amp service availlable
