Additional info:

Very narrow channel. Little room to turn around. It was done in a 35' sailboat - a much larger boat could be a problem.

A 50' power boat had no issues getting in and out - 50' is their max.

Reviews for Townsend Manor Inn Marina
Cancelled reservation immediately after making it with Dockwa and spoke to Marina. Got no help from either Dockwa or Townsend., 2016-09-14

Will never use Townsend Manor again and am considering the same for Dockwa.

For access to the town of Greenport it is a very good spot as others have said the pool is the most redeeming feature along with the pool side bar, but you are not allowed to bring in your own beverages which is a minus given how dumpy the place is, its like no one owns it, or the owner lives in Boca, because even very basic maintenance is not done.

A greenport fixture, 2012-09-19

A golden oldie: kind of 50's mustiness to the place but not unpleasant. Could use a face lift though. Short walk to town; nice big pool; full of kids on weekends. Good place to come after Labor Day. Reservations a must as not that many transient slips.

Old and unattended, 2012-06-29
Captain: , Rumsey Island (330)

I'm not sure what marina the other reviewers stayed at, but this place is old and in need of freshening up. Pluses are quiet and calm harbor, but maintenance hasn't happened here in years. The lounge smells like formaldehyde.

Quiet Greenport Marina, 2011-09-07

Townsend offers a welcome alternative to the hectic and noisy Town marina on Main Street. It is only a 5 minute walk to town but the relaxed atmosphere here is wonderful. The facilities here are older, but well maintained. The pool has a refreshment hut with food and great mud slides, perfect for a hot summer afternoon! The inner slips are a bit tight for anything over 36' but all are well protected. I will be making this a regular stop for my visits to ths North Fork.

Calm and picturesque, 2011-07-24

Decent facilities, very nice pool (a big plus), charming Adirondack chairs on the sloping lawn overlooking the marina. Big bags of ice. The dock hands working in the afternoon were very helpful and pleasant, the morning shift less so. Slips are stern-to between pilings, and the marina is sort of tight, but manageable. Close to the town, which is charming. I'd go back.

For the Cruising Yachtsman, Townsend Manor has one of the finest marinas in Eastern Long Island. Nestled in the protected waters of the secluded Stirling Basin , yet just a short walk from Greenport's stores and activities, are deep water slips for transient yachts up to 60 feet and complete resort facilities for living aboard or ashore.

Convenient to Town and Worth the price, 2011-03-26
Captain: , Glen Cove, NY (108)

One of the best marina/bed and breakfast facilities on Long Island. Quiet, comfortable and convenient to town.

great place to stay, 2011-01-26
Captain: , Fire Island Pines (408)

good facilities, pool, resturant, but better make a reservation

Our preferred place to stay, 2009-01-19

They don't always have a slip for our size boat but when then do it's the place we stay at.
Nice people, calm and quiet slips. The 5 minute back from town helps settle dinner

Townsernd Manor is very nice, 2008-02-07
Captain: , Mt. Sinai, NY (232)

Note the other review is NOT reviewing Townsends. We stayed there for 3 days in the summer 2007. The place was quiet and nice. The pool is large and my kids enjoyed it. The facilities are OK, the heads and showers were decent. There is a restaurent / bar which looked nice but I didn't try it. The location is excellent. The staff was very nice and will bring ice right to your boat.

Gentrification, 2007-04-15
Captain: , New York (88)

Greenport finally after decades completed their Mitchel Park Marina. Handy to the village of Greenport. Expensive... subject to current , but resonably well profected from wakes by the new dock structure. Lots of traffic and the SI ferry to pay attention to. Lots of transient dockage (expensive).. and noise from Claudio's out door bars. No services at all.

What happened to a free two hour tie up alongside at town docks? It's all about revenue streams for the VIllage. I forgot.
