Sir, My name is Jackie Maderski and I am the General Manager here at TPM. I do not believe you have ever been in our marina. Our yard manager has been with TPM for 25yrs. He is most helpful at any time. Our other employees have all been here more than 7 yrs and they always go out of their way to help. If you were here, in the marina and felt this way, my door is always open to help resolve any problems that may occur.
***** Sir... from Harry Potter.... I do aplogize that you felt this way. I always try to be accommodating and helpful in any way. Sometimes... I may have to give an answer that is not wanting to be heard... but I do always try. I am sorry you feel this way.. and as I said before, My door is always open and will always try to help any way that is possible. ***

Good hurricane storage, but.............. Update/Apology, 2016-10-09
Captain: , Druadan Forest (61)

Good cradles and tie downs. Yard owner v.knowledgeable and can be helpful. Good news ends there. Biggest problem is the general manager Jackie Maderski who is low on competence, but v.high on self esteem and will generally bend over backwards to be unhelpful. Workers are the for the most part dispirited and uncommunicative, but this is mostly down to the poor management. Other owners I spoke to held same opinion, but if you just want somewhere safe to put your boat for hurricane season and don't need to interact with them any more than that, Tiger Point has a lot going for it. Apologies - in my original view I mistakenly identified the "yard" manager rather than the "general" manager as the problem. For the avoidance of doubt - Jackie was the only "manager" I was ever aware of an I was referring to her.

03/11/15 - after our non-reception at the main marina we called Tiger and were told to come right in.
The owner docked us at a wonderful spot.
The price was reasonable and when we needed to do a crew change, was most helpful.
The slip was well protected from the weather and the facilities were very well kept.
this is now our go to marina in this area.

Nice dock, but long walk to bathrooms. At night you have to walk in dark and given a remote to open gate. This is more of a boatyard but the staff was very accommodating.

Great Yard with Great People, 2014-07-24

We have used TPM on two separate occasions for a variety work, including Fiberglas repair, painting (Awlgrip), generator repair, and stainless fabrication. All of the work was excellent. We have found Bill and his staff to be thorough, professional, courteous and easy to work with.

As other reviewers note, this is a working yard. Having said that, if you are staying on your boat for any length of time, the local Enterprise dealer offers good weekend rates, and downtown Fernandina Beach is a fairly short dingy ride. A fun city to explore with some very good restaurants.

Use the info on their website to help get into Egans Creek. Do not try to "cut the corners" at the entrance to Egans.

We will definitely continue to use Tiger Point.

Great Service!!!, 2014-06-18

On June 4th I experienced a dead starting battery while moored in Fernandina Beach. I was able to get the engine started and upon the advice of a local trawler owner, made my way to Tiger Point Marina for help. Bill Cavanaugh and his staff were very accommodating. They met me at their dock and immediately diagnosed my problem. Bill got on the phone and ordered two 4-D AGM batteries. They arrived early the very next morning. After installation, I was still having trouble starting the engine but his chief mechanic completely checked my wiring from batteries to starter and alternator and found some loose connections and a faulty breaker. After tightening the connections and replacing the breaker, that Cummins engine fired right up! I must mention that most of this diagnostic work occurred late on a Friday afternoon even though the Marina had officially closed. Bill and his team went the extra mile to make sure my problems were completely solved and we were able to leave as planned on Saturday morning. Kudos to Tiger Point Marina for a job well done.

Great Boatyard, 2013-10-18
Captain: , Key West, FL (150)

Tied up on their transient dock and had our boat hauled the next day. Very professional staff and helpful office. Everything went very smoothly. Be careful to time your arrival to the tides as they are quite big (around 8 foot when we were there). Even at low tide, however, there is at least 7 feet at entrance to channel. Problem with tide is the current flow, so just be careful if the tide is ebbing or flowing.

Grea Service, 2013-08-11
Captain: , Wickford, RI (30)

Needed assistance with a suspected bent propeller 4 hours before closing down for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. Had us out of the water, diagnosed the problem, and did this all efficiently and courteously before their holiday break. Arrangements made with a propeller shop as well and we were back in the water and on our way by Tuesday afternoon. Who could ask for more?

Motorboat rentals available on-site, 2012-08-29

Pretty marina with a nice view of the estuary. Service dock on site. We've rented motorboats from the place on site several times for day trips to Cumberland Island.

Great Boat Yard, 2012-01-05
Captain: , Winthrop, MA (896)

If you need to store your boat or need work done on it, this is the place. They allow you to stay on your boat and work on it if it is on the hard. They are a Yanmar dealer and do excellant work. They do charge $25/day, $65/week, if you stay on your boat. They also charge if you work on the boat yourself.
As was said before, there is nothing within walking distance. This is a boat yard and not a marina.

Adequate Dock, 2011-11-22
Captain: , Cleveland (2062)

This is a working yard that has some face docks for transients. Most of the folks docking here are getting work done on their boat - we just came in for the night.

There is nothing around within walking distance. If you want to see Ferandina Beach - stay at the city marina or else use your dinghy to go from here.

Restroom are not very close to the docks. Also very industrial For the price, it's a good stop and owners are very nice.
