Professional 1st class marina, 2017-06-11

Helpful docking, clean well designed facilities. Josh will get you whatever you need. Stayed 2 nights on our trip southbound. We will return.

Fabulous stop! Super helpful staff!, 2017-05-18
Captain: , Chicago (630)

Josh is amazing! We were looking for a convenient stop to spend time in Savannah. We decided we'd rather stay here and Uber into town than pay a full $1 more per foot to be downtown with no facilities.

Pulling in we called and Josh said we were on the outside wall. After four nights not sleeping in St Simons on the outside wall my husband asked if anything else was available. Sure! They put us in the adjacent yacht yard. We were amongst the mega yachts and felt very small! It was fun to walk past them and watch the crews at work day and night. And the best current. No waves. Completely and totally still!

First, we got donuts every morning. We are a family of four and they handed us a box of 6 each day. My kids love it there!

Facilities clean. Courtesy car available although the lady in charge of it is a bit difficult to deal with. Enjoyed Tubbys for dinner.

We did Uber into town two days. Very reasonable $11 ride. We ended up grabbing a car from Enterprise on our third day for some other errands.

While in town Josh called us bc he noticed our rear port corner listing in the water. We had just taken on fuel and this is unfortunately normal on our boat. But it instilled great confidence that he noticed and called to check.

We ended up making a last minute trip home and felt completely comfortable leaving the boat in great hands. Josh checked in a couple of times while we were gone and made sure he knew our return date.

Finally we had props fixed in Brunswick. Josh asked where and then called their yard. The yard at Thunderbolt gets a weekly delivery from the prop shop in Brunswick and he arranged to get our props on that shipment free of charge! This saved us either a huge shipping bill or a lot of time in the car.

I'd highly recommend this marina to anyone coming to Savannah.

perfect stop, 2017-04-16
Captain: , Westport CT (484)

Stopped here on 4/15....very helpful dock staff...great showers. Was worried about wakes being on the face dock but area is well policed and did not notice at all.
With lot's of ubers around it was very easy to head into Savannah...did both the tour thiing and out on the town for dinner. Will stop again.

Better then the Krispy Kreems, 2017-04-14
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (1421)

I admit, we stopped here because of the Krispy Kreems because when you read the local reviews, that was the deciding point. But once we checked in i realized that this marina and it's people are greater then the donuts. Great Help, Great Facilities. Shopping or meals were not important as we eat onboard anyway. Biggest disappointment was that the shrimp center was closed so no fresh shrimp. Also it is a great place to stop and see mega and superyacht sail and powerboats in the connecting boat yard. Will definitely stop here again.

Good Marina, 2017-03-28
Captain: , Corpus Christi (356)

We stayed for 2 nights and toured Savannah. As others have stated the restroom/bathroom/laundry facilities are clean and convenient. Good price on diesel. The donuts in the morning were a nice bonus. Nice spot but buggy. We would stay again.

Perfect spot, 2017-03-14

Marinas Cutting Services, 2017-03-09
Captain: , Saint Augustine, FL (489)

Pulled in here for fuel, pump out, water and trash drop off. The dockhand was great but told me that we couldn't drop off trash unless we were staying for the night. I quickly scaled my fuel purchase way back and suggested he tell management why.

They told me before I came in that they wouldn't take waste oil as many marinas will. They clearly could because there must be a waste oil tank for the big yard next door. I wouldn't have minded paying for oil disposal but no trash when buying fuel?

I would have filled the tanks if they had taken the oil. I would have bought 100 gallons if they had taken our trash. Instead, I bought 30. Marinas are cutting back on services everywhere but the ones that resist this trend will get my business. I know where I'll be filling the tanks next time.

Great Marina, 2017-03-08
Captain: , Newport, R.I. (10)

Josh was extremely effecient and accommodating. The internet connections , however, were inconsistent, frustrating & need to be improved.

wonderful stop, 2017-01-19
Captain: , Racine, WI (178)

This waste eat place to stop for the night. Josh was very helpful both when we called and when we arrived. The facilities are top notch. Clean bathrooms and nice large showers. Laundry is $1.50 to was and to dry. 3 washers and 2 driers. The yard is gated so you feel very safe. There were a lot of high end boats there. The adjacent yard does Lloyd's surveys and the bridge just north keeps the big boats from going further.

There are restaurants a short walk away and groceries about 1.3 miles.

Would definitely consider staying again.

hard communication, 2016-12-23
Captain: , Little River, SC (443)

Tried raising them on VHF both 16 and 68 without success. Eventually called on cell and they transferred me to the fuel dock. Dock hand helpful getting on and off the dock, though not particularly friendly. Next time I will opt for Morningstar or Isle of Hope if they will answer the radio.

A staff that makes you feel right at home, 2016-12-03
Captain: , Mystic, CT (80)

Josh was extremely efficient and friendly. He helped us with our lines and familiarized us with the place. Krispy Kreme donuts first thing in the morning left on your boat is a standard. Our dog Jib loved the place too. The laundry and shower facilities were clean and bright. Rather than people watch, this place is great for yacht watching the comings and goings at Thunderbolt Marine. The courtesy car is on a first come basis and good for in a pinch. However Uber gets you downtown Savannah in no time. Thanks Josh and Hal for making our stay wonderful.

Great Marina, 2016-12-02
Captain: , Macatawa Michigan (1144)

We have stayed here many times and Thunderbolt is a great marina. Just a word of caution. We were using the power post that is fourth from the SE end of the face dock, the side that faces southeast. During the night we lost power on one of the two 110 lines. We reported it and I put a piece of blue painter's tape on that part of the box. If those lines short out in the box, that situation can be very dangerous. I'm sure Thunderbolt will fix it but best to ask.

The epitome of compassion, 2016-06-18
Captain: , portland or (131)

We had made reservations at Thunderbolt Marina for the 30th of April for a two night stay. However, fate intervened and on the 29th of April my Dad was in a horrible car accident. On the morning of the 30th we called Thunderbolt and told them we would be there by noon but would have to tie up and immediately head to the airport as we needed to get to the hospital ASAP. We asked if we could stay more than the 2 nights as we knew it was the height of transient season. We were told -absolutely you may stay, just take care of your family and we will look after your boat. As it turned out he was not able to survive his injuries and we now had to arrange his funeral. Again, the kind folks at Thunderbolt Marina said - do not worry about your boat we will look after her, just take care of your family. Two weeks had passed before we were fnally able to return. During our time of need Thunderbolt Marina lessened our burden of worry by not only allowing us to stay longer than they had space for us but also looking after her while we were gone. We do not have the words to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown us during our families tragedy. You will not find better people anywhere on the waterway!!

A superb marina, 2016-05-30

Captain: Norman Mason+, Norfolk, VA (641)

We have stayed at this marina five times over the last several years, most recently in March and again in late April of this year, 2016. The docks are easy to access, with very capable help in docking. Everything is very clean and well cared for. There are no dusty, gravel parking areas to walk over, and track debris back to your boat. The restroom/shower/ laundry areas are the best we have seen, and are perfectly clean, private and very roomy. There are good restaurants within about a ten minute walk. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else in this area. It is superb.

People are nice and know where to find help, 2016-05-05
Captain: , Buffalo (832)

Our autopilot's linear drive died and they found me an electronics supplier who was able to install a replacement as soon as it was delivered from Defender. The dockage was reasonable; we paid $219 for three nights and 50 amp service. Some restaurants in the area, but we ate in. There is a shrimp boat about 200 yards north and they were fantastic.

Great Stop for service, 2016-05-01
Captain: , Grand Rivers, Ky (2206)

4-28-16 Stopped here to have leaking steering cylinder rebuilt, very professional staff. Also had preventative engine maintenance performed by Performance Power, certified Cummins mechanics. Very professional.

There are some awesome yachts at this marina.

Great staff and service, 2016-04-01
Captain: , Rowayton, CT (199)

Cannot say enough good things about this yard. Even though my vessel was dwarfed by the super yachts there Kevin Caleca and his crew treated me in the same manner as if I was spending tens of thousands. All the work (repacked stuffing box, replaced bilge pump etc.) was completed while I was away and their pricing schedule is very reasonable compared to Long Island Sound rates. Only negative - the crew lounge and showers need bringing up to yard standards.

A five star Marina without a five star view, 2016-02-04
Captain: , Hilton Head Island, SC (365)

Have stopped here twice in the past two weeks. Once over night and once to tie up for lunch at Tuby's Tank House. Everything about this marina is 5 star, the dock master, the facilities and the easy in and out.
Walking to Tuby's Tank House is a big plus and the fresh sea food is excellent. The only down side is the view is of amazing mega yachts being services at Thunderbolt Marine, not of the environment.

A good place to stop, 2015-10-20
Captain: , Charleston, SC (74)

We arrived on 10/15/2015 with moderate current but had no problem docking with Hal's help. Very clean and also a very secure facility. We found Krispy Kreme donuts waiting on us when we got up. It is definitely a working boat yard.

Excellent service, 2015-10-10
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (185)

We stopped bay in this marina because our crane was broken and we needed to lift the tender in order to continue our trip to Florida, it was impress the service that we received from the staff in all kinds of sense.

Our Kind of Place, 2015-08-20
Captain: , New Bern (318)

Nice little marina and nice people. Bathrooms in good shape.

The kind of place that doesn't give you too much help docking if you don't want it.

Good but expensive, 2015-05-24
Captain: , New York (262)

Didn't stay here but came over for fuel. Price was high.
Walked around shipyard and was impressed. Big time yard working on some big time ships

Great Marina, 2015-05-15
Captain: , North Charleston, SC (752)

We planned on staying one night and fueling up (diesel) but we discovered a broken transmission oil cooler and it was Saturday morning so we stayed through Monday and got our part and got underway again Tuesday morning.

It's right on the ICW in a no wake zone, price competitive and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the grounds landscaped. There's a loaner vehicle available during the week.

I would give it five stars but there's no pool and only a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

Great Savannah Stop, 2015-05-02
Captain: , Little River, SC (476)

Easy in and out with the help of Hal. Supper secure facility and convenient to Savannah and Tybee Island. Krispy Kreme donuts are great too!

Good stop, easy in and out, 2015-04-28
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Very easy in & out. Marina was full gave me a spot in the yard, nice wide concrete floating dock, 50 amp & 100 amp available, real big ships in yard, great facility for overnight plus Krispy Kreme delivered to your boat in AM. $1.75 ft plus $10 per 50 amp plug. Water depth no problem.

Good Service, 2015-04-21
Captain: , Poughkeepsie, NY (6077)

Good, clean transient facilities. We always do our laundry here. The face docks are fine even with the current, no problems in or out. One of the great attractions are the Krispy Kreme donuts delivered to your boat every morning!! We would stop here just for that.

I needed a new 4d battery and help getting it installed. I called two days before my arrival so it could be ordered in advance. Thunderbolt didn't even ask for charge numbers, ordered the battery and had it installed within two hours of my arrival. The price was great and service excellent! Way to go Thunderbolt!

The only thing I would add is that It would be nice to have a courtesy car for groceries.

Very helpful and patient dockmaster, 2015-02-16
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1130)

Swift current, contrary winds, and a balky bow-thruster left us relying on the dockhand's strength and skills. Fortunately, he was up to the task! Good laundry facilities. We were able to get to the historic sites in Savannah via a visiting friend's car, so didn't have to figure out local bus or taxicab methods.

Great marina, 2014-12-11
Captain: , Nantucket, MA (162)

Showers A+
1/2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts left on your deck each morning
Good laundry facilities
Awesome staff
Floating docks seem to be higher than most, making it easy to get on/off boat!
There is a bus into Savannah but a taxi was around $16.

Grocery is pretty far, there is a courtesy bike, but as others have stated, a courtesy car would be great.

Easy in, easy out, 2014-11-28
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1191)

We stayed several days for minor repairs and enjoyed Savannah for Thanksgiving dinner.

Current can be swift, but face dock makes it easy. We have 4' draft and had well over 10' under the keel. The marina has clean bathrooms, good laundry facilities.

The dockmaster is helpful and delivers Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the morning. Tubby's Restuarant very good food and only a short, 10 minute walk. A courtesy car would be great, so too decent Wi-Fi. Without them only 4 stars.

Great stop, 2014-07-13
Captain: , Fernandina, FL (428)

Right on ICW. A little less than $20 cab ride to Savannah. Hal was great help docking. Nice facilities. Not sure if Krispy Kreme donuts are a plus or minus!

Nice accommodations , 2014-05-14
Captain: , Racine, WI (371)

Good access to Savannah by bus or cab, secure facility, bus to shopping. Excellent bath and laundry facilities. Many fine yachts in the harbor to admire.

very nice place to visit., 2014-05-04
Captain: , Port Sheldon (421)

Very easy to get on and off the docks. Dockmaster came out to help and was very friendly. Bathrooms and laundry area were clean and kept up. Only downside was no curtesy car, but there are buses or taxi service to get you around.

Thunderbolt continues to be first rate, 2013-11-28
Captain: , algoma, WI (140)

Thunderbolt continues to provide excellent service to visiting boaters from dockage to fuel prices and they still drop off those doughnuts - if you want them - in the morning.

Spacious, clean, well-run marina but not much fun., 2013-11-22
Captain: , Edgewater, MD (90)

Savannah is too far for bicycles and otherwise difficult to get to from this marina. no close by groceries. Only pump out in Thunderbolt, but pump out costs $10 and dockage is also pricey as is fuel. However, the staff is very competent and the marina is well run. Good laundry and great showers. Not the friendliest place on the ICW. Locked gates and hostile warning signs give on a feeling that things are not so easy going in this area. The repair facilities adjoining the marina are totally oriented to mega yachts. The really monster ones. Slips are easy to get in and out of despite the current because there is so much space. Except for the atmosphere, this would be a 4 or 5 star place.

Great Staff, Good Facility, 2013-08-23
Captain: , Corpus Christi, TX (732)

Very convenient stop right on the ICW, with friendly, helpful, competent staff. Facilitiesand security are very good, and downtown Savannah sightseeing is accessible by bus or cab. Good hardware/marine supply store a couple of blocks away, but grocery is too far to walk comfortably.

Great marina and a quaint little town., 2013-07-16
Captain: , Jupiter, FL (1286)

Excellent staff
Donuts! every morning!
Good WiFi (powered antenna needed)
Clean facility
Two good restaurants down the street.
If you have dogs they have a very safe area to walk them.
Seriously, we'll go out of our way to come back and stay again. If we ever need work done we'll come see these guys.

Great Marina and People, 2013-06-25
Captain: , Bay Hill Marina, Athens, AL (121)

We spend a week here visiting family and getting work done on the boat. The facilities, from docks to laundry were top notch. The staff including Hal, Kevin and Josh were most helpfull with any request and getting the Yanmar factory technicians to the boat. Even though it was an outside vendor, Kevin kept daily contract with us on the status of the repair. The Yanmar rep Mike, from w.w. Williams, was very knowledgable and tenacious. He was able to find the causes of our recurring engine problems which had eluded other machanics during previous repair attempts. Our boat has never run better! All this and daily Krispy Kreme donuts! Whenever in the Savannah area we will always stay here.

Great stop for us, 2013-06-22
Captain: , Weston, VT (570)

Spent 4 nights at Thunderbolt mid June. Hal runs a friendly establishment and greeted us when we pulled in. Everything is well kept and the laundry area is the best around and reasonable. Easy walk to a $1.50 (one way) bus ride into Savannah. Reasonable $15 cab back which we did three days. Guarded and gated entrance. Too many Crispy Creme donuts though. Gotta learn to say no.

Wonderful stay!, 2013-06-14
Captain: , Silverthorne, CO (419)

We stayed at Thunderbolt Marine for about 2 weeks, before and after meeting two sets of company for Charleston-Savannah cruising. All the dockhands were wonderful and competent. Nice setting behind locked gate, which means you don't need any combos to get into bath/laundry area. Biggest, cleanest laundry area ever, with long folding table ($1.50 per, 3 washes, 2 dryers available). Good location. Can walk to bus, River Supply (marine supply), two restaurants, an occasional farm stand on Victory Dr. A heftier walk (but doable) or bike ride to Piggly Wiggly, etc. Best of all, right next door is Thunderbolt Seafood where you can purchase fresh shrimp @ $8/lb. No longer any newspapers, but they still bring half dozen Krispy Kremes every morning, until you tell them you've had enough. Great diesel prices, too. We could not get wi-fi at south end of dock (the majority of our stay), but they have a huge, shaded gazebo area with comfy chairs to sip coffee and use computersf, and we were able to use wi-fi from north end of dock. They cut us a break on dockage fees due to length of our stay. Also, entertaining to watch the huge yachts being worked on in the yard, and dolphins, rays, and huge turtle off the docks.

Great overnight stop, or leave your boat for a month, 2013-05-29
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (780)

hard to beat this marina as a quick overnight stop, or as a place to park your boat for a month. we've done both and have been extremely pleased each time. Hal the dockmaster is an experienced professional and a pleasure to work with. He has a great memory and quickly remebmered our boat. Great security, clean bathrooms and showers (among the better ones on the ICW) and lots of washers/dryers.

Great stop, 2013-05-12
Captain: , Sanford, Fl. (887)

We stopped here 5/1/13 for 2 days but the weather turned it into 5 days. Good thing we could leave when we did because the glazed donuts that they were bringing each day was starting to show! You could not ask for a more friendly staff or a prettier setting. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The facility can only be accessed through a guarded gate. We got an opportunity to walk some of the area and the area seems really pretty nice.

Cheap Fuel, 2013-05-02
Captain: , Destin Florida (430)

Stopped here 4-29 to fuel up. Very helpful staff and cheap fuel at 3.89 Easy stop right on the ICW.

Stopped for fuel, water, and pumpout but got more, 2013-04-04
Captain: , Brooklin, ME (1081)

We spend almost all our time anchored out, and our visits to marinas are just usually for water, fuel, etc. We made such a stop at Thunderbolt, but they offered that we could stay on the dock as long as we liked (during the day) and use their showers for free, use their coin laundry, wander the town for lunch, etc. This is the best hospitality we've received from a marina, and also the best showers we've come across at one. We'd do business with these guys again in a heartbeat. I imagine they won't be able to offer the same level of hospitality on their fuel dock once the season's in full swing, but we've been plenty of places off season that didn't display this level of hospitality. These guys have raised the bar for us.

Great place, 2013-03-31
Captain: , Reedville, VA (689)

This was our fourth stop. While we have left other reviews for Thunderbolt Marine we feel the need to leave this one also. We will pass on the Krispy Creams and newspaper comments that others have made. Arriving here is like coming home. The staff remembers you. The facilities are one of the best on the waterway. If you like great food, pass the first restaurant, Tubby's, and walk a half block more to the Tortuga's Island Grille. There you will find some of the finest dining on the waterway. Prices are reasonable.

Most helpfull marina in the area!, 2013-03-26
Captain: , PooleUK (973)

I stopped here for a few days whilst waiting for the St Patrics day mayhem to end in Savannah, it was a peacefull quiet and lovely location. The docks were clean and tidy, the rest rooms were some of the best I have ever seen and the staff were fabulously helpfull. Especially the yard guys who arranged to have a heads pump changed out on a Saturday! Thank you, I just wish I could have seen the quality of your work in the yard, as if it matches the care in the marina I may well stop here instead of Jarrett Bay on our way South from New Foundland this Autumn.

Great quiet location near Savannah, 2013-03-13
Captain: , St. Thomas, USVI (624)

This was our second stop here and we have found the staff on both occasions to be very accommodating including giving us a ride to the marine store due to my husband%u2019s bad knees even though it is technically within walking distance. The Krispi-Kreme donuts each morning don%u2019t hurt either!

What a great place, 2013-02-19
Captain: , Pensacola, Fl. (136)

We had to stop here in an emergancy situation and was so pleased to be greated by Josh, he waited for us after my phone call explaining our dilema. They have a wonderful facility and a very friendly staff. We woke up to donuts on the deck of our boat. Don't know if this was normal, but it was good. Thanks guys. We will stay here again and will be sure to recomend Thunderbolt to everyone we talk to.

Delightful!, 2013-01-28
Captain: , Topsail Beach, NC (480)

What a wonderful surprise! Last time we came this way we bypassed this marina for downtown Savannah. Although we enjoyed our stay there right in the heart of downtown, this marina is much nicer, quieter, not so much current and wake. The bathrooms are first class, as is the laundry. Easy walk to Tubby's, a fine restaurant with great selection. We're only here for one night, but would love to stay longer next time. We will definitely stay here again. Great for the dog, because the face dock is so near a walking area....unlike the last few places we've stayed!

secure marina, short walk to restaurant, 2013-01-21
Captain: , New Orleans (651)

We stopped here 1-18-13 to await morning high tide to got out Wassaw Inlet using manager Hal's local knowledge. Had great fresh red snapper at Tubby Tanks. Very clean showers and laundry. Enjoyed the 40 year tradition of having the Savannah newspaper delivered along with box of fresh donuts. Would have given 5 stars if there had been a tv room, grocery within walking distance (or coutesy car), but will stop again.

Excellent stop, 2012-11-07
Captain: , Rock Hall, Md (230)

We stayed here three nights due to weather and were very pleased with the service. Friendly service, always willing to help with whatever we needed. Showers and laundry kept clean. There is a public bus .4 miles away that took us to Savannah. Donuts and paper delivered every morning! Wifi strongest near office.

Thunderbolt Marina, 2012-11-04
Captain: , London (342)

Arrived to find helpful fuel dock staff and easy dock for refueling. Approach up current. Thunderbolt services BIG megayachts and could offer help if required for almost any situation. Short walk to nearest restaurant but cab ride to market. Worth checking fuel costs as three marinas close by but this dock made it easy.

Very helpful place., 2012-10-23
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

We needed a water pump replaced. Had one sent here and made arrangements to stop and get it installed before moving on the next day. After arrival were notified the tech would not have time untill the next day. Svc mgr Ernie was very apologetic and helped find tools so I could do the job myself and not be delayed. Many thanks to him and the tech who loaned tools. We can now get on south before weather turns sour. All this on top of the help docking and free doughnuts. I like this place, thanks guys.

Good for one night, 2012-10-17
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

Stayed here for one night, got help with docking and found very nice and clean restrooms. You even get free Donuts and a Newspaper in the morning. The only negative side is that there is only one restaurant close by and a long way to do some shopping.

Well worth the stop., 2012-10-03
Captain: , Charleston, SC (158)

We found this marina to be far ahead of most. Clean, spacious showers and laundry area, well protected from ICW traffic and a great staff. Restaruants and shopping are within walking distance. Many thanks to Garner, he stayed late to help us in and was great. The morning Krispy Kremes just add to what is already a top notch facility.

Really nice stop. Easy in and out, grounds are exceptionally well maintained and staff first rate. Had occasion to call mechanic over to look at a non-function bilge pump. When he got to the boat, guess was working. Darn gremlins! He poked and prodded, Checked the switches etc and tried to identify what the problem might be. Probably spent good half hour. When I went to the office before leaving to pay-up I was told "no charge". Tough to beat that! Add the fresh doughnuts and morning paper....I'd say she's a winner. Encourage all to give them a try.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. The facilities are great - clean showers and heads and nice laundry facility. Nice outdoor boaters lounge. Well protected from ICW traffic. The wooden floating dock we were on needs a little work but the other dock is a concrete floating dock. Easy access to all you need and a short boat ride to downtown Savannah and a day trip to Hilton Head. This will probably be an annual stop for us.

This was our 3rd stop at Thunderbolt Marina. The staff here is great and very friendly. Even remembered us from our last stop in October of 2010.

We needed some AC work done and the folks at the marina set us up with George at the their boatyard. He arrived 15 minutes early, did a thorough system evaluation and had us up and running in less than 30 minutes (including a run back to the yard to get some parts). The Krispy Kremes and USA today are an added plus.

We had a great lunch & dinner at Tubby's. The drinks here are excellent and the prices are fantastic.

River Supply is across the street from Tubby's and they had everything we needed to do some shower and head repairs. Again, prices were very reasonable.

Enterprise knows the way over to the marina and we used them on our last visit go into Savannah. Hard to beat this place!!

Lovely setting close to Savannah, 2011-04-07

The Krispy Kreme donuts are worth the stay. Can easily catch the city bus in to town. $1.50 per person. Marina provided a nice list of info and nearby establishments.
Gated facility makes you feel secure, although there was no reason not to.
Docks were in very good condition. Staff was available, but not overly friendly.

Good location for visit to Savannah. Marina has printed sheet with bus info, convenient to get into town (short walk to bus stop). Not much in the immediate area, did eat at Tubby's, just OK. Not swanky but very adequate and secure facility, locked gate at the road.

When we stop at Thunderbolt Marina there are always very interesting yachts either sharing the docks or up in the repair facility. Our little old boat is treated with respect and dignity.

The marina is very limited in dockage. Very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A very big plus is the Thunderbolt Marine Works on the same grounds. Excellent service, propmt response to problems and every effort is made to exceed your expectations. The pricing is competitive and you know the cost in advance..
