Reviews for The Waterfront Restaurant and Marina
Good food short docks, 2015-02-09
Captain: , Gasparilla Marina (30)

Food and service was good and entertainment outside. Looked like bow in docking and the docks were short so it can be tough getting on and off the boat if you have a Cuddy. Their marine radio has not worked for two years so if you want to contact them do it by telephone.

Not a marina, 2015-01-18
Captain: , Cincinnati (1810)

This is a great place to eat but it is not a marina with any marina facilities

This is NOT a marina...it is a restaurant with docks, 2014-10-11
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (54)

Very nice folks but they are NOT a marina! No showers, etc. You can have a great meal here but no other facilities.

Great place for lunch, 2014-05-14
Captain: , Chicago, IL (998)

We dinked in from our anchorage, very laid-back, good food.

Well worth the trip, 2014-02-27
Captain: , Cape Coral (263)

I drove over from Cape Coral - first time down to St James City. Not much else to see except a few restaurants but this one was well worth the trip. The bacon cheeseburger was Superb and reasonably priced. Kellie provided great service. Yes, it's a long round about drive for nothing else but I will return.

Doesn't get much better than this!, 2013-05-06
Captain: , San Francisco CA (1301)

A midday "dinner" meal. Oyster/Sake shooters, lightly fried calamari (including tentacles), snow crab claws, fried grouper, Greek salad -- all A+ dishes. Also clam chowder, which we rated B-. Great service, easy access by dinghy from anchorage off York Island.

Hidden Secret, 2013-01-09
Captain: , Punta Gorda FL (1709)

This is a hidden, off the path, crusing secret. Very few stop here as most are in a hurry to get to Ft Myers. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Always a beer special. You can tie up overnight for free. No fuel or electricity. Very friendly dockmaster. Best to call for space. Very narrow entrance canal but opens up once inside. Anchor out if you are over 40'.

Waterfront Rest, 2011-12-12
Captain: , Clearwater Fl (10)

Stopped in for stone crab claws enroute to Ft Myers. Reasonably priced and a delightfull experience.
Bought 2 t-shirts. Gina is the best.
Beer and wine only, but the saki bloody mary is great.
Good holding in 8-9 ft of water. North and east wind 10-12 kts.
Lots of swinging room, but wakes from non-carers.

Easy access Great smoked BBQ, 2011-11-02
Captain: , brewerton ny (303)

Dinghy up thr Monroe canal for some great food and entertainment. We also have had our 38 Bayliner up here many times on highish tides. They smoke thier own ribs on premises and are very smokey and good!

Great Atmosphere Great Food, 2008-03-23
Captain: , Saint Cloud, Florida (108)

The Waterfront Restaurant has easy access from canal south by boat or by car at the southermost end of Stringfellow Road on Pine Island. Dockage is free but limited to a half dozen tie-ups or so. Diners can choose to eat inside or outside where the view is of some gorgeous waterfront homes. I love to watch the canal traffic pass too. Inside dining is casual and promotes a family atmosphere with crayon drawings that guests children have provided on the walls. Crayons and paper all available at the tables. Aside of the dining room is a bar in a cozy tavern-like setting with all decor of old Florida themed artifacts hanging from the rafters and walls. Food is delectable and ranges from fish diners to burgers and fries. Prices are well within range and overall, I would have given this place top rating but feel there may be room for improvement, but for now I cannot think of where or how it could be improved. A great place to eat breakfast lunch or diner and I will definately be back next September.
