Reviews for The Moorings Club
Friendly & Helpful, 2015-03-18
Captain: , Lake Monroe, FL (31)

We stayed overnight on our way north. When we called to reserve a slip, they were very friendly. I was concerned about our 5' draft, but the dockmaster assured us that 5' would not be a problem. They dredged the channel in 2012, and we encountered no difficulties.

Dockhands were available to assist with docking. We dined in the pool grill, their informal dining room which has no dress code. The food was good, not amazing.

All in all, a very positive experience. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very Friendly Yacht Club, 2012-11-20
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (555)

We stayed here on our way north in June and again in Nov. We had the whole place to ourselves both times. The docks do not have any permanent boats moored. The Dockmaster is Dave (772-410-1490). It is open to FCYC members. South Beach Pizza delivers the best pizza (772-231-1110). The Club is beautiful and the area is great for walking. The beach access is about a 20 min walk south on the main road. Members are very friendly and the office has a great brochure for all the local services.

Great Yacht Club, 2012-05-26
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (1145)

This place is lovely! Dock guys were just great - slips were wide open and we could dock however we wanted.

There's a pool, fitness center, spa, tennis and golf course! Very family friendly and Friday night had live music by the pool. Dinner poolside can be in your bathing suit! Great fun....

Nice club and docks., 2012-04-07
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1476)

We stayed here one night on our way north, using our FCYC reciprocal privileges. We saw nothing less than 6 feet while transiting the entrance channel. Docks were nice and the dockmaster gave us our choice of slip (stern to or alongside tie). Had dinner in the less formal dining room upstairs in the clubhouse - outstanding food and priced well for what we received. We'll stay again, we enjoyed it.

Private Club, 2011-02-16

Entrance channel to club is shallow (5-6'), watch the tides when going or coming. Need dress code to eat there. Docks subject to northerlys and westerly, no anchorage in small bay in front of club.
