Reviews for The Field Club
Unbelievable!!, 2017-06-17
Captain: , Naples (70)

This is a private facility so you must have either reciprocal rights or be a member. We had a member with us and were able to use the facilities and eat at the restaurant. Plenty of room and depth for our 39' trawler. Pat, the dockmaster, was first class and treated us like family!! This facility is absolutely amazing!! The food was fantastic and the grounds around the club are spectacular. If you can get in, it is a definite must see on your cruise!

Stunning is the only word to describe the grounds at the FCYC club. If you walk the .7 mile to the main drag there are lots of key items as mentioned previously. Try the Meet Market restaurant. We loved it......

Very Nice Stay, 2016-05-07
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (216)

Group of 5 boats stayed for two nights. The dockmaster Pat was great. Very friendly and helpful. Good food. Nice big pool. Very family oriented with a lot of kids. Only complaint was pool side staff did not clean up old food on chairs and had to go to the bar and get drinks rather than having staff come by and ask if you needed anything. .7 miles to West Marine and Publix.

The Field Club is very nice, 2014-09-15

I had read negative reviews about the dock master and food service not being good. However, I stayed there last week and could not be happier with the service. The dock master, Darrell, was attentive and very helpful. He made dinner reservations for us at the club. The wait staff and the bar tender (we nerver went to the bar) were very nice and helpful. One of the staff actualy took us on a tour of the club. We enjoyed our our stay and will go back when ever we can.

Beautiful spot., 2014-05-11

Dock master seemed grumpy don't know why. When we got there The club was closed for an event and we couldn't even get a drink. There is a few restaurant within a 15 minute walk and we had a nice meal at Mayta's a Peruvian place. Upon leaving it was blowing 20 k from the South and a big power boat blocked our exit as the channel is pretty narrow. I would make sure next time that the channel was clear as we had to do a few unplanned 360's

Great place, 2011-12-26

Of all the yacht clubs in the council this is our favorite on the West coast of Florida. Dock master is always helpful and friendly. Limited transient slips available. Great food. A nice walk to grocery stores. Beautiful pool and tennis courts. Best of all is the majestic club itself which is not gaudy but old Florida.

Elegant, friendly FCYC club., 2011-03-22

Easy in/out to fixed docks. Good power. Great place to visit.

Easy in and out, 2009-10-10
Captain: , Ft. Myers (406)

Old mansion for clubhouse and non floating docks. The long dock is an entension of the entry channel. Easy to tie up and easy to leave. Some slight wave action from ICW traffic. Very friendly dockmaster. Fine dining for those in the mood. FCYC members only.

When You Feel Like Elegance, 2009-02-24
Captain: , Punta Gorda. FL (360)

Laid back Florida is fun, but after a while a bit of old time elegance is appreciated. Those lucky enough to have FCYC reciprocity can enjoy Stanley - nephew of Marshall, familiar to us midwesterners - Field's finely preserved estate. Put on the sport coat and enjoy some of the finest dining we've yet found in this state. Neat little marina, great pool and bath facilitiy, heaven for tennis lovers. Wow.

The Field Club is located on the Easterly shore of Roberts Bay at marker #78 on the Intercoastal Waterway. Contact the Dockmaster upon approach for instructions. The Field Club monitors channel #16 and switches to channel #68.

Dockage is granted to full resident members of fellow FCYC clubs by advance reservation only. Visitors must identify themselves by presenting Club membership card. Dockage fee is $1.50 per foot per day. Electricity charges are based on consumption.
Old Florida mansion, close to shopping, diesel and gas. Tennis courts, large heated pool. Very formal.
