We had dinner here, both of us had steaks that were cooked to perfection. It was busy on a Friday night, we got there at 6 and had a 30 min wait.

Across the parking lot is a refurbed paddle wheel boat that has Kawartha Dairy ice cream.

The summer menu is mostly 'diner style' and the burgers and clubhouse sandwiches are best in the area.

6/12/2013: Read prior negative reviews but, received local knowledge that food and service were good. We tried it and were very pleased with the service and the food. Great beer, too!

Well, reading the other review here, I guess it does boil down to the individual experience. We have had a couple of pleasant lunches on the deck. We went for a special 'schnitzel' night and were disappointed to find that they were out of that, but we found the food pretty par for the course with simple things like chicken and ribs. We had no problems with the service, but its true they are mostly pretty young.

I wouldnt even give this place ONE STAR if possible. Horrible. Arrived at 6:10pm. Was told our table inside would be ready "in a few minutes". Was too windy to eat outside. THey sit you down at a DRINKS ONLY table but refuse to take your food order. Finally after some complaining they let us order food at 7pm. We ordered 3 pickeral dinenrs and one aflredo dish. Took 45 minutes for the food to come out. THe server are all kids. No experience and no training. The food was not even mediocre. THe pickeral was baked with a package seasoning and breading. Talked to the manager, who was only 19 years old (I pressume, maybe she was younger). She didnt have a clue how to handle our complaint. All she could say was the kitchen was really backed up. Well that means their restaurant fails to serve clients in a timely manner but they dont do anything about it. AVOID THIS PLACE !!!
