Reviews for The Club at Treasure Island
Great Stop to enjoy the amendities - beach, pool, club, 2016-06-17
Captain: , Fort Myers, FL (80)

Anne, the Dockmaster, will make you feel right at home and let you know what the Club has to offer. Beach, varity of resturants , Publix all within a mile. Don't forget to check out Club's Resturant good food and music several nigts a week. Everything is easyly reached by bike/walk and/or serveral taxi options (~$3.50+tip). No laundry or pump out, but there are other options. Check with Anne for club affiliation that have reciprocity. The Club has recently dropped their Marina Life affiliation.

Great Food, wonderful people, lovely atmosphere, 2016-06-16
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (45)

We had called ahead of time to make sure that they were reciprocal with SPYC (they are not). They do reciprocate with most other YCs, but do check. They do allow members of USPS so we went ahead. A quick call to Roland (16/68) guided us in and he was very helpful when we tied up. They offer several locations to dine, and we choose the delightful high-tops at the bar. I had one of the best Mahi sandwiches ever (about 1 1/4" thick). We shared an outstanding smoked fish spread as an app and the others enjoyed their Cobb Salad, soup special of the day and Burger. The staff was attentive and the prices were reasonable. Definitely on our list to do again, and do it soon!

Great Facility, 2016-03-16

Spent a weekend here recently and really enjoyed it. The staff was very helpful and members friendly. The Friday night seafood buffet was very impressive and their live entertainment in the bar kept us there until closing. Nice clean, new amenities, large heated pool, tiki hut, the works. We will definately be back for another weekend.

August Cruise, 2014-08-18
Captain: , Dunedin, Florida (10)

The Dunedin Boat Club had a total of 7 boats arrived at The Club at Treasure Island August 15 for a two night stay. We were treated like royalty, had a fabulous buffet dinner on Friday and enjoyed the facilities very, very much. The dockmaster (Anne) went way beyond the "call of duty" to accommodate all of us and make us welcome!!!!

This is one marina you should not miss!, 2014-05-10
Captain: , Anna Maria, FL (165)

This is one of the nicer marinas we have visited. There is an associated club house (huge), pool and tennis courts. Anne, the dock master, is pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpfull. It is easily accessed off of the ICW just south of the Treasure Island Causeway. We were offered a second night free after purchase of first night. The club house offers heads, showers, entertainment, and very good food. We second earlier remarks about the Friday night seafood buffet.

Followup of previous 2/2011 review - don't miss this stop!, 2014-03-11

Stopped by again for a couple of days during cruise down the ICW. Still a favorite! If anything, more accommodating and welcoming than before. Anne is a delightful dockmaster, involved in engaging marina guests in every aspect of The Club. Food is wonderful (Fri night seafood buffet unbelievable). Docks wooden and fixed, but very stable. Beautiful large heated pool at dockside, tennis courts nearby. Easy walk to town (and Publix), or Annie (now that Les has retired) will offer a ride, even to the also nearby beach. Great place!

A private club, but since I know some members and was considering joining, they allowed me a slip. The transient slip rate was reasonable. Excellent dockmaster and marina staff. Friday night the restaurant offered an outstanding seafood buffett and the lounge area had live music. Overall, a nice option for the area.

Cool Beans, 2013-07-09
Captain: , Tampa (93)

Visited over the 4th of July weekend to stage offshore fishing trips in a 52 SF. Very happy with entire experience, from easy deep water approach, on demand bridge openings, dock arrivals (staff always there to help with lines), amenities (killer game room, great pool), great live band, etc.... In my opinion, one of the top options in the realm.

Every trip south will include a stop here!, 2013-06-17

This is the favorite marina for my famiily. If you have kids the game room is off the charts nice. Gorgeous pool with fire pits around it with a bar. The restraurant is excellent and reasonably priced.

Very friendly staff and everyone was very friendly and welcoming to us. Our boat club hits here every year.

Top notch facility, 2013-05-28
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (618)

We spent Memorial day weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed the club and surrounding area. It's a nice walk to the beach and shopping. Although not charted, there is 10-15 feet of water from the ICW to the club. Some of the inside slips are a little shallow if you have a sailboat drawing over 4 feet.

We are locals so have only gone here by land a couple times. Very nice clubhouse and pool area. Very definite "Members Only" and old money feel. Unless you are a Yachtie you may not feel welcome. Les, the dock master, is knowledgeable and nice enough.

Full five star stop, 2012-11-26
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

Transient Loopers get buy one day second free at this beautiful facility unmatched by any other CLub. This a great spot to chill for a couple days after a crossing but call ahead to assure space. Stopped after our crossing and enjoying it for two days.

Great Time, 2012-09-23
Captain: , Palmetto (422)

This is my third trip to Treasure Island Club and I%u2019ve always had a great time. The seafood buffet (Friday nights) is worth the trip, and the bartender at the tiki makes a very nice Rum Runner. Other restaurants are within walking distance (about six blocks), but we like the R-Bar for all you can eat crab legs (Thursday nights), good entertainment, and reasonable prices.

Outstanding, 2012-03-19
Captain: , Gulf Shores AL (160)

Great location to spend some time. We arrived planning on two nights and have decided to stay four instead. Great food within easy bike ride. The staff gave us a ride to do laundry nearby. Wonderful facility with outstanding restrooms. Only downside is that there is no pump out . We planned ahead so it is not a problem.

Fine Club Cruising, 2012-02-05
Captain: , Punta Gorda. FL (360)

We returned 3 years after our last visit: still a fine stop; three quarter mile walk to the beach. Fabulous facility with great bar, fine dining, great pool. A few more yuppies in evidence than last time, but no problem. This time we squeezed into a slip on the adequate but old dock, helped by Les, the friendly dockmaster who knows his business. Renovation of the docks is apparently planned. Check-in procedure was bizarre: take your chit from Les to pay dockage up at the bar, then go back downstairs to sign in with the front desk ladies. They forgot to give us our temporary member cards, so we were locked out of the showers after hours and Joe the 'friendly' bartender was cross with us when we turned up to buy drinks.

We only stayed two days, but had a great time. There are many amenities. Les the dockmaster is great and supervises a helpful staff. Joe the Bartender is super. The club is to die for and we will be back.

One of the best, 2011-05-06

Stayed 7 days first class all the way. A private swim and tennis club looking for memebers so they offer great rates to transients staying at the marina. Les the dockmaster was very accomidating. Will be back.

Great extended stay, 2011-03-17
Captain: , Foley, AL (985)

So many club amenities to list. Top notch. Great monthly rate, $10 p/ft. New owner is planning on adding another building for entertainment menus. Easy to get to town by walking, biking or dinghy.
Looking forward to coming back.

The Club at Treasure Island, 2010-12-03
Captain: , Grand Haven, Mi (2283)

Treasure Island Yacht and Tennis club is no more. It has been sold and is now called, The Club at Treasure Island. The new owner is fixing it up and making it a five star club. The docks are not floating but are in very good shape. All facilities are first class.

Still a good stop, 2009-10-28
Captain: , Ft. Myers (406)

Although no longer a FCYC club it is attempting to keep FCYC business by offering a free second night after a $1.50' first night to member clubs. They now say that they are a Yacht Club of America club. A large new building sits next to an olympic pool. There is a large fitness center and a tiki bar. A half mile west is the beach with a new Publix and a Walgreens. Just before the main shopping area is a very well stocked True Value hardware store with marine and bicycle parts.

New owner, 2009-10-06
Captain: , FL West Coast (136)

No longer a member of FCYC. the former private club failed.
