Reviews for The Boathouse at Front Street Village
delightful stop, 2016-04-22
Captain: , Hampton, VA (2502)

We spent a week here waiting for weather to go north outside around Hatteras. Docks are pretty new and fantastic. Everything is clean. Everyone drops whatever they are doing to help.

Marina is primarily oriented toward hi/dry storage of poweboats although several sailboats were tied up here as well. While we were there a 100 ft+ boat also came in.Repair parts are primarily for outboards. I was told they will get whatever was needed. Fuel prices are very agreeable.
Pool and bathhouse (showers) were closed while we were there since it wasn't yet the season.

Food stores are about the same distance as from Beaufort Docks. Easy bike ride or you can rent a golf cart.

Restaurant open Thursday evenings. Regular store sells sandwiches on the weekend. Store has outstanding selection of wines and beer.

Obviously we were happy.

tried to dock there, 2015-10-31
Captain: , Chesapeake, VA (20)

we were there at the high current which is side sweeping to the slip. had a terrible time docking. hit the corner of the dock twice, crunching our side. Wound up leaving and going to Beaufort Town dock and had no trouble docking. just be aware. we are in a sailboat with limited power.

We stayed there for several days. Wonderful marina just off the hustle & bustle, but easy access into town. Staff was always ready to help, even anticipating the need. I just had to pick up something - or act like I was going to - and someone was asking if they could help. Not a complaint, but it got rather humorous. The dockmaster was wonderful and really set the tone. Nice store too. Enterprise car rental in Morehead City will come pick up if a rental is needed.

We have stayed at the Boathouse twice and have been very impressed by the staff and facility. The floating docks are new and the shop and restaurant are excellent. We were greeted by multiple staff members who were proficient in getting the boat secured and very willing to help in any way. It is a lovely pristine location which continues to improve and well worth the short trip down Taylor Creek.

Definately worth a repeat visit, 2014-06-02

Can't say enough good things about Eugene and the crew. Great Southern hospitality. Good help and patience with me getting the new to me 25 ton boat alongside the dock in the current which was at least 2 knots knots or more. (You know the drill; don't approach any faster than you care to hit it) We were even given the use of a nice Suburban to get groceries and dinner.

Awesome Marina, 2014-02-07

Had all amenities necessary to make our stay comfortable and convenient! Would highly recommend this place on any trip!

great dock hands, 2013-08-12
Captain: , Fort Pierce, FL (370)

went out of our way to come to this location to get fuel and pump out after spending a couple on nights on the hook in Beaufort. the guys on the dock are the best. The store is nice but mostly higher priced wines but a large selection. My only waring is to carefully check your receipt are we had to have our adjusted twice. First time we were charged for gasoline when we bought fuel. Then they corrected that and charged us tax on the after tax price of our fuel. Peggy finally got everything corrected for us but just be sure to check. It slowed down our morning for sure.

Great fuel stop, 2013-04-08
Captain: , Richardson, TX (552)

We came for the inexpensive fuel, well worth the run up Taylor Creek. Dock hands were helpful and friendly, fabulous ship's store as per the other reviews. It was late so we ended up spending the night at the fuel dock for a reasonable fee since we didn't need power but I don't think they accept a lot of transient traffic. We'll be back.

Dockhands are great, 2012-06-19
Captain: , Windy (170)

Anchored off here for a few days while doing some repairs. The dockhands are great and very helpful. The public boat ramp next door is busy 24/7 and a fine place to tie up and take the bus into town. The ships store which some have raved about is really a little convenience store at this point which has great coffee and a good selection of wine and beer. Hopefully a wider selection of food and marine supplies will follow. It is all sparkly new.

Fantastic Facility, 2012-06-18
Captain: , Beaufort (20)

My husband and I cruise Taylors Creek often. We love coming up to The Boathouse to fuel up and stock the boat for a great day at Shackleford. The crew are always friendly and ready to assist with anything we need. Their ship's store is always immaculately clean and staff very pleasant and helpful. I personally love the selection of wine they care. Where my husband prefers their fuel, since the price is always great, especially for Val-Tech, non-ethenol. I would recommend anyone to stop by this place.

Outstanding Service, 2011-05-05
Captain: , Caseville, MI (341)

We took the short trek up Taylor Creek to take on fuel today, good water all the way. This is a beautiful new facility, no transient docks yet, but plan on having in the future. Fuel prices best in the area and the ships store is out of this world. Everyone went out of their way to assist us, we%u2019ll be back.

Hidden Secret, 2011-05-02
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

This is not a marina yet, but they are working on it. We took the 20 minute trip up Taylor Creek from Beaufort to buy diesel fuel. This facility is hungry for business and their price for fuel is excellent. The service was excellent. They really go out of the way to welcome you and assist you with refueling. Add to this a well stocked ship's store with the best prices on wine in Beaufort. This is well worth the time it takes to get there.
