Additional info:

If you draw 5 feet or less, the water in Hull Bay is deep enough but be careful if it's a negative low. The bottom almost entirely mud. Avoid Bumpkin Shoal and Outer and Inner Seal Rock.

Reported best approach: Align your stern to the pier on Peddocks iIsland and your bow to the large apartment complex in the bay for the smoothest possible cruise.

Reviews for Sunset Bay Marina
Two day stay, 2016-08-24

SBM is a relaxing and well protected marina in Hull. The staff are helpful and there is always someone available to help docking, which can be tricky for a sailboat in tight quarters.

Beautiful sunset views over Boston, 2015-12-29

Very friendly marina and staff. Good location for exploring Boston Harbor and Harbor Islands. 25 miles due east is Stellwagon Bank and 35 miles to Provincetown. Beautiful sunsets over Boston!

Get out of Boston without leaving the (outer) harbor, 2014-08-29
Captain: , Boston (601)

Hull is a great place to visit and the marina has a great facility and great staff. While it's a healthy walk from the marina to "happening Hull" it's all still within reach. We spent an afternoon casually walking in, getting lobsters steamed at Jake's, walking back and enjoying a heavenly dinner on board.

We were on a mooring and it was a good row (against the wind half the time) in a bit of chop on the bay, but no big deal if you're patient. The dinghy dock can be hard to find the first time (there are two entrances to the marina) but the staff was happy to let me leave my dinghy in any available spot.

Nantasket beach is great but no dogs allowed during the season.

Views are stunning, 2014-07-13

Arrived right before hurricane Arthur and the winds were howling. Staff was great in getting us in and were very welcoming. The sunset and views of Boston were accurate to previous descriptions - as we were told when checking in " a brew with a view". And yes, the pub was great with terrific beers on draft.
