Notes

Nicely maintained club. A large, well-equipped member's kitchen is nice for larger meals and bad weather days. The lounge is very comfortable. Peaceful setting. Very nice people.

The marina next door has fuel.

Additional info: Most members moor Mediterannean style. Space between the boats is tight. There is very limited dockage available. A long visitor's dock is limited by shallows as you approach shore, and restricted to lighter, smaller boats. The pump out dock is well protected but you wouldn't want to stay there long for fear of interfering with pump outs.

Reviews for Stormont Yacht Club
A very welcoming and friendly club, 2014-08-19

As Dan adi, this clubsets the standard for welcoming transients. We usually stop in once a year, on our way back home and always look froward to our evening there.

The facilities and showers are clean and inviting and every club member one runs into makes one feel welcome.

A short walk up the astreet ins the Waterview Restaurant, unassuming and inexpensive and they serve a great meal.

A very small club, friendly and helpful. This club's members travel widely but offer very little space for visiting yachts, especially larger boats.

Time Horton's is now available - 5 min walk into Long Sault.

A very welcoming if not off the beaten path kind of place, 2009-08-19
Captain: , Montreal, Quebec, Canada (253)

This has been our fourth visit to Stormont Yacht Club and we now accept it as a given stopover on our way up river to Lake Ontario. Although, it could be considered a destination in its own right. Every visit we have received an overwhelming welcome. This club sets the standard for what hospitality should be. From your welcome at the visitors dock to the inclusion in club activities, these folks know how to make you feel at home. The facillities are top notch and the atmosphere is very homey and picturesque. Geese fly bys and beautiful sunsets/sunrises are de riguer here. The surroundings ensure a good rest and you can stay at an available dock or moor on one of there more remote moorings at the end of the bay. Perhaps the fact that it is a bit out of the way is what makes this club so special. They don't get as many visitors as they might like so they make up for it when you show up. Don't pass them by if you are ever up this way. You won't regret the detour.
