Easy access to the dock and the dockmaster (Dave) was great! This is a very nice club and they were extremely accomodating. Very protected docks and a great little town.

A friendly reception, 2015-08-12
Captain: , Niantic, CT (327)

I sailed here about a week ago in my 19' O'Day Mariner looking to tie up for a couple hours for lunch and a walk around. Dodson's wouldn't answer my VHF call, so I sailed up to the SHYC floating docks. The woman in charge of the docks met me as I approached and was very friendly. When I asked about staying only a short while, she apologetically replied that other boats were on their way to fill the remaining docks. She then asked about my boat's draft (less than one foot with the centerboard up) and directed me to their dinghy dock which had only one dinghy on it. She said I could stay for free, which I did, and I will certainly come back again the next time I visit Stonington.

Nice facility, friendly atmosphere, 2015-08-04
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (420)

Nice floating docks, but a hike to the clubhouse which is across the street. Clubhouse is relatively new and well decorated. Staff and members friendly and welcoming. Stonington well worth the visit.

Friendly environment, ideal stop., 2010-02-20
Captain: , Boston MA (68)

This club welcomes yachtsmen and cruisers from reciprocal clubs and transiants. There are good year round dining facilities, showers, laundry, children's room, Harbor Room, Library and several dining areas. Ideal stop for summer cruises.
