Reviews for Starport Marina Severn
Very nice clean marina with concierge type services, 2017-07-03
Captain: , Hilton Head, SC (420)

Helpful friendly dock staff, outer dock busy during day (50' from busy main channel) quiet at night

Best marina, 2015-07-17
Captain: , Grand Haven (470)

We just went thru the big chute and stayed at this marina for two nights. This is the best that we experianced on the Trent-Severn. Both mornings we had the press waiting on our door step. We walked to the office for a great boaters breakfast. The staff was top notch and the restrooms very clean. A small store was a golf cart ride away.

Great Stay, 2014-07-14
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (277)

Service, staff, showers, washer/dryer, grounds, location all top notch. Hair dryer in the shower/toilet facilities. Cleanest showers and toilets yet-they clean the rooms multiple times per day. A great place to catch a breath after Big Chute and before Georgian Bay.

Brand new docks, 2014-07-07
Captain: , Nowhere,OK (1314)

Stayed on the new docks that face into the channel. A little bumpy during the day and because of the wind. Dock staff super nice lots of help getting in. On arrival you get a gift bag with Starport glasses inside.

Very nice clubhouse, high-E washers and dryers that are free. Giant TV.

Walking distance (10 mins) to a LCBO, three places to eat, a small general store and an Ice Cream place. Another 5 mins gets you to the lock / dam.

On Saturday's they deliver a free paper to your boat. If you let them know the night before they will bring you "Breakfast On board". I had eggs, bacon, toast all very good.

Walking distance to restaraunts and they will loan you a truck to get to the grocery store. We did that, about a 20 min drive. Supermarket, banks, hardware, beer store are all available.

Great stay, highly recommended.

Nice Marina...Friendly Guests, 2013-08-29
Captain: , Keswick (20)

Stopped for fuel before entering Georgian Bay and decided to spend the night. Very clean and comfortable. Nice clubhouse with very clean washrooms. Free and fast wifi. Complimentary Weber grills all over the grounds. Nice raised patio to watch the sunset through the trees and watch the boat traffic go by. The LCBO (Liquor store/Beer Store) is a 5 minute walk

Great stop, 2013-08-14
Captain: , Louisville, KY (80)

Docks in good condition, staff overly helpful, Hot breakfast served in office. Fastest pump-out we have experienced.

Great Place, 2013-08-09
Captain: , Beaufort, S.C. (640)

We agree with all of the positive comments below and would add that there are 2 big, clean washers and dryers - free!
Also the wifi is super fast. This is a great place to rest up before or after the Trent Severn.

Upscale Marina, 2013-06-29
Captain: , Charleston, SC (422)

They make every effort to make this a very competitive upscale marina with very nice "club house" and bath facilities. Loaner car gets you to the LCB and groceries. Rawley's Marina restaurant next door. Starport has an upper and lower. IMHO, I would not go to the lower (below the lock) for it is subject to currents, appears to be more isolated and there have been concerns about water levels. Only drawback so far is that we are tied up to to a long pier next to/part of the covered slips and we've subject to wave action (not unbearable). They pick up your trash and will even deliver breakfast to your boat! Suggest you walk to the lock and watch vessels as they head towards Georgian Bay to see how they approach to narrows under the bridge. Ask the lock staff for any recommendations to approach to the Bay and the potato channel...very helpful

Competitive Fuel Prices, Well Stocked Store, 2013-06-17
Captain: , Pultneyville, NY (852)

A pleasant stop to take on fuel for your east-bound route through the T-S. The staff is friendly and the ship's store is well stocked with boating supplies, basic food items and drinks.

Starport on the hard, 2013-05-31
Captain: , Toronto (592)

We spent the winter on the hard at the lower location of Starport, just below Lock 45. Current in their basin makes docking a little difficult but the staff were efficient and the boat wintered well and the prices were competitive for the storage and also for the shrink wrapping. Their hours in the spring made re-commisioning a little hard, but overall we were satisfied. We didn't take advantage of it, but they have many services avaialble. They were also kind enough to let us stay at one of their service slips for a few days before we hauled-out.

Great stop with friendly people, 2012-08-18
Captain: , prospect, ky (415)

I left my boat here for 3 weeks while I went home to tend to business. All was fine when I returned. This is a good spot to change crews, as there is a shuttle service that runs to and from Toronto. Brand new washers and dryers. Great breakfast. Linda and her crew do a great job! The resident dock owners are very friendly!

Very good marina, 2012-08-10
Captain: , Beaverton (264)

Slips are $2/ft (Aug 2012) and the near shore slips are shallow. Brand new boaters lounge facility is now open and has brand new showers/toilets (the swimming pool will only open in summer of 2013). On site chandlery and lunch counter make it very convenient. Newspaper delivered to you boat in the moring. The dock staff is friendly and aims to please, but the only negative is that they seem to be somewhat uninformed and defer answers to Linda (Mgr). Would recommend if you're in the Port Severn area.

Now with FREE wifi, 2012-07-26
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

This marina now has free wifi. Also a great place for a real home made breakfast while on the Trent-Severn

Good service, 2011-07-25
Captain: , Warsaw, Ky (875)

Dock hands very helpful. Facility is well kept and clean.

Ship store has a selection of items including charts, hardware, etc. Also has some grocery items.

It can be rocky due to other boaters coming by in the channel close to the face dock.

Good Mechanics and Good Service, 2011-01-24
Captain: , Midland, Ontario (475)

We had a good experience with Gord and his team at Severn Boat Haven. They did engine work and we were laid-up there over a winter. The staff are all very nice. Good store and snack bar. Walking distance into the town of Port Severn with restaurants, bars, hotels, grocery stores, wine/beer.
