Tide & current additional info

The tides usually vary from 1 to 3 feet depending on the time of year and the solunar table. There really is not a current in the basin. It may be minimal, due to a fast outgoing tide. Wind may play a factor when docking the vessel in the marina. Although it is well protected, heavy winds may present a small challenge when docking. The dockmaster will be onsite to assist in making the vessel fast as you approach.

Reviews for St Petersburg Yacht Club Marina
One of our favorites in all of Florida, 2017-06-21
Captain: , Terra Ceia Bay, Florida (110)

Location, location, location. Now add attentive staff from John and Adam who are right there to take your lines and stay with you until your vessel is secure. Clean restrooms, clean marina (some floating docks, but not many), locked secure location, and great restaurants everywhere. We cant say enough good things about this Yacht Club.

10/29,30,31/16 Truly Amazing from Punta Gorda, 2016-11-04
Captain: , Punta Gordo (181)

We stay here 3 nights and really enjoyed the YC. If they had a heated pool 5 I would have give 5 stars. John the Dockmaster was very helpful in docking and providing local information. The Mill is one of his recommendation a very good restaurant not far from the marina. The YC is located right in the middle of the St. Petersburg water front.

Great FCYC club, 2016-05-23
Captain: , Niceville, Fl (195)

Dock staff is very helpfull and it is located in a great area. Lots of everything you would want available nearby. Club food is great. If you plan on going to the main dining room you need a jacket to get in.

Very Nice City Marina, 2016-03-11
Captain: , Biloxi MS (100)

We stayed 2/29 to 03/03. Just a block or two from the heart of downtown St Pete, easy walk to dozens of great eateries, museums and shopping. They also have a well protected mooring field. Pumpout and good fuel prices

Nice overnight stay, 2015-05-28
Captain: , Apollo Beach - Tampa, FL (361)

Best of many boating worlds, 2014-03-11
Captain: , Nashville (260)

Top notch from every boating perspective! Helpful, knowledgable dock assistance, great dining room, friendly members, classy without being ostentatious. Easy access to rejuvenated downtown, 25-50 cents for trolley shuttle all over. Museums (esp Chihally), art, restaurants, parks, etc all conducive to relaxed strolling and sightseeing. Well protected and calm in midst of St Pete Muni Marina(s). FCYC for reciprocity seems to limit other Florida visitors, but out of state YC reciprocity welcomed. Nice place to visit!

Great Club, 2012-12-04
Captain: , St. Petersburg,FL (41)

Lots to do downtown. 6 restaurants or more within walking. Close to all downtown activities. Grand Prix of St. Pete every march. 22,23 and 24 of 2013. Lots of noise but a must for race fans.

Good, and They Know It, 2012-02-05
Captain: , Punta Gorda. FL (360)

It's not always easy to get a transient space, but this is 5-star when you can get in. Professional marina staff get you settled. The facilties set the standard for a fine but comfortable yacht club. Members are friendly. A visit to downtown St Pete with its beautiful waterfront and many fine restaurants is a yearly must for us even though Tampa Bay usually manages to rough us up a bit. The economy has devastated shopping here, loads of closed-up stores, but the hotels remain packed.

Accept Guests to Clubhouse, 2011-04-16
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (311)

We stayed @ the City Marina, but checked at the Club Office and were given a courtesy guest card good for a week and all access to Club facilities (less slips). At end of stay, food/bar purchases were charged to our credit card. We are not yacht club members elsewhere. Wonderful bar & food & atmosphere.

Great Stop, 2009-10-15
Captain: , Ft. Myers (406)

Very large and old (100 years) club. Located right downtown in a park like setting. Several dining rooms from shorts to coat and tie. Food is very good. If you want to dine elsewhere there are ample opportunities. Red Mesa grill is recommended for upscale but reasonable mexican food. Marina is always full so reservations are a must. Very accommodating dockmaster. There is a new Publix six blocks away. FCYC members.

excellent private club, 2009-10-06
Captain: , FL West Coast (136)

Prestigious mener of the Florida Council. Old club with much history, club house is huge, but friendly enough.
