Reviews for St Peter's Marina
Convenient Stop on Way to Baddeck, 2015-09-11
Captain: , Deer Isle, Maine (514)

Clean facility with lots of room. Nice showers. Walking distance to the Lake Bras D%u2019Or Inn where the restaurant reportedly has a new chef and was not as good as its reputation led us to believe.

Spotless facilities, great staff, nice clubhouse and deck, 2014-08-19
Captain: , New Orleans (651)

We stopped here for 2 nights after passing the St Peter's canal locks on 6/28/2014. We found the facilities super clean with a large cruiser's room, a fully stocked kitchen, a large book-trade library, nice laundry and ample deck with lounge chairs and BBQs. There is a grocery store and several restaurants a short walk in town, including the cozy Bras D'Or Lake Inn dining room. Nice floating docks with plenty of depth.

St Peters Marina, 2013-09-15
Captain: , Wrightsville beach nc (180)

Good solid place to stay. Helpful staff. Good Internet close in, not so hot on the outside dock. Uphill walk to town but not far.

One of the best, 2013-07-16
Captain: , Toronto, ON (1729)

Great staff, great village, everything you could need and friendly people to boot. The staff are fantastic. This place could teach other marinas how to do it.

Great place, 2012-09-24

st peters lions club marina, 2012-08-22
Captain: , toronto (499)

A perfect marina. Close to the lock if your comming or going, room to dock, which are a low, hang fenders with the tips just hitting the water, all the basics including a laundry room with lots of machines and top it all off, town is a easy walk and a nice place to tour.

Small, friendly marina with everything a cruising skipper needs, 2012-07-18
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (1288)

Fancy it's not, but this marina has everything a cruising skipper needs, and the attitude can't be beat.

From prompt response on the phone and radio, energetic dockhands who know how to handle lines, and the thoroughly welcoming attitude that seems to be pervasive in Nova Scotia to a spic-n-span marina with all the basics, you'll feel right at home here. The wi-fi is among the fastest we've found, and both wi-fi and electric service are included in the dockage charge. The electric is all 30 amp service except for a couple of 50 amp outlts at the fuel dock, but you if you have a smart Y you can use two 30s for 50 amps @ 225V, though we needed our onboard transformer to boost the voltage.

Gerry, the man in charge, has a ready smile answers to all all questions and even loaned another yachtie his car to pick up crew 60 miles away in Sydney . . . how's that for hospitality?

Friendly Marina and Town, 2012-07-09
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (578)

We highly recommend the Lion's Club Marina. The staff and regular customers are all very friendly and helpful. The town is a quick walk away where you'll find a very nice supermarket and several nice restaurants.

Outstanding marina in a beautiful location, 2011-10-21
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1915)

The staff here cannot do enough for you. The WIFI signal was the strongest I've seen anywhere and worked very well consistently. We (44' Defever) were on one of the T-heads both times we stopped in Aug 2011. Clean facility, multiple washers/dryers. Close to town. A local "speciality" is donair meat and donair sauce on your pizza.

St. Peters Lions Club Marina, 2011-08-22
Captain: , Grindstone Island, NY (32)

As good as it gets here. Very helpful and friendly staff, very fair with fuel prices. Grocery, drug store, liquor stroe fairly easy walk. If you are in a heavier power boat, try to be on side of the fuel dock, it is very solid and secure, unlike many of the smaller floaters built for lighter sailboats or small power boats. Bras d'Or Lakes Inn has excellent food, also try Chubbies, an old school bus that does great fish & chips.

Friendly and clean, 2011-08-13
Captain: , Cruising (3259)

St. Peters is a great little marina, just as nice and helpful and friendly now as it was 3 years ago when we were last up here. The lounge area is very large and nice, everything is kept very clean, and the people couldn't be more friendly. It's a short walk to town and the well-stocked grocery store and large hardware stores are immediately to the left and right as you get to the main street.

Make This Your First Stop, 2011-03-18
Captain: , Halifax, Nova Scotia (253)

This should be your first stop as you come through the St. Peter's Canal. Plan to spend a day or so here. Fuel up, get groceries, do the laundry and have a hot shower before you head off into the Bras d'Or Lakes. Be sure to walk down to the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn for a most enjoyable meal and maybe a ceildh in the basement.

Fantastic service!, 2010-08-13
Captain: , Charlottetown, PEI, Canada (237)

Gerry, the manager is the most helpful, friendly person that you could meet. The facilities are excellent and the town is 5 min walk. A great place to stop.

A flawless stopover, 2010-03-02
Captain: , Sarasota (1427)

Previous reviewer summed up the marina nicely. The owners and staff care very much about the look of the facility and in pleasing visiting cruisers. We had a very nice time.
