Reviews for Spring Valley Boat Club (private)
Friendly and Helpful after long lock waits, 2016-11-28
Captain: , Michigan City, IN (828)

Date of visit: 9/17/16.
It took 9 hours to travel 33 miles due to long lock waits. We called Spring Valley on a whim to see if they could accommodate us as the sun got lower in the sky. It is a small marina yet they found room along walls and the fuel dock for five (six?) boats. They scrambled about to help us all get secure and invited us up to the bar. We were grateful for the refuge. $1 foot. We used two 30's for our 50amp needs. I do not recall the depth but our 4' draft entered comfortably.

Great place because of the people! , 2015-09-26

We are so glad we stayed here! The people were amazing! SO NICE! Just a pleasure to be there! We felt so welcome! Thank you!

Quiet Stop and Nice Folks, 2013-07-26
Captain: , Louisville (291)

Stopped here last week very late in the day. Scott, a member of the Club Board, immediately helped us tie up and offered us the use of his truck. We needed to leave early the next morning to make Chicago, and he helped us fuel that evening. Shallow entry (4+ feet in July, 2013), so check pool.

very nice folks small club, 2011-10-08
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

Nice easy in and out albeit shallow 4' at entrance and fuel dock which is used for transient dockage if over 32' or wide. Very nice club house and bar members can't do enough for you. The will permit transiant non members in here. It is tight and shallow so check pool if necessary.

Small but nice, 2010-08-23
Captain: , Foley, AL (985)

We tied up to the fuel dock pier for the night where there was twin 30A power and room for 2 boats. We were there on the week end the boat traffic stopped at 6 PM. Nice bar area with some bar food and a big screen TV. We were offered the use of a vehicle from a member to go into town for groceries. The bridge into town did not look to good for walking. There is a public boat ramp on the opposite side to dinghy to.
