Reviews for Spirit Lake Marine
Great cruiser spot, 2015-10-21
Captain: , Seminole, fl (95)

The new owners are going all out to make this place unique, funky and fun. Bulit on the site of a WWII Victory ship building yard, there is tons of history, and tons of outdoor stuff to do in the area. Bike trails abound, the local zoo, and a vintage train ride are all within walking distance.
The facility has been undergoing steady improvements, the bathrooms and laundry firstup. The new facilities are top notch.
Our favorite aspect be a stop here is the crossing of RV, and Boaters. Some of the best sundowners ever happen when a Motor Coach, a 5th wheeling and a tenter meet a sailboat for snacks and a adult beverage.

Try it, your sure to like it.

quiet alternative to Duluth and Superior, 2014-08-21
Captain: , Naples, FL (1096)

We took a day cruise from our transient slip in Superior and stopped for a break. We were warmly welcomed and assisted with tie-up. The ship's store includes well made wooden art from Indonesia. Nearest grocery and restaurants are 1-1.5 miles. Overnight dockage with power for our 36 ft boat would have been $30.

New owner, things happening, 2009-06-22
Captain: , Boston, MA (172)

Spirit Lake had fallen into some disrepair because the owner rarely appeared on site. Purchased by a local last year, the bathrooms and showers have been redone and there are plans in the works for major renovations. Owner is present and accessible. They were happy to haul me up on their mast crane when I had two jammed halyards. Seasonal dockage very reasonably priced compared to other local marinas. Only staffed consistently on weekends.

Great marina for fishing the river!, 2007-07-29
Captain: , Washburn, Wisconsin (621)

Reasonable marina to dock at, long distance to Lake Superior, but very scenic ride.
