Reviews for Spar Shed Marina
Was a great spot, 2014-08-20
Captain: , Portland, Maine (21)

Unfortunately, it is now a "private" marina with no transient moorings, although we were allowed to pick up an unoccupied one for a night when stopped there in early July. It's too bad, as it has been one of favorite stopover spots for the past 5 years.

Nice Getaway from Boothbay, 2013-08-22
Captain: , Hampton NH (252)

Recommended to us as a real quiet spot close to Boothbay Harbor. Glad we went. Moorings were $25 and were told that showers were available but did not use them. You must dinghy in to the dock to settle up but the owner was very friendly and even offered to make arrangements to go into town for supplies and ice if needed.
The approach is largely uncharted but we went in on a low tide and never saw less than 6 feet. Inside is like a small intimate harbor you'd expect to see 50 to 70 miles further up the coast. Overall, a very pleasant surprise and highly recommended if all you need is a great place for an overnight. Would go back again.
