Reviews for Solomon County Dinghy Dock
Pump Out Working, 2016-10-16
Captain: , Maple Shade NJ (612)

Update Oct 15,2016 the pump out worked fine.
We stopped to get a pump out on Oct 15, 2015 and the pump out was not working. Hopefully it's only a temporary situation.

Pumpout still not working, 2016-06-18
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (310)

Nice restroom facilities and quick access to some good restaraunts though.

Great job Solomons, 2016-05-15
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

Too bad every town does not have such a place. A good use of tax dollars for a change.
We are 17 ft wide so had to pull along the end. Still no problem and the pump works great.

Great Place to Dock the Dinghy, 2015-08-24
Captain: , Road Harbour - BVI (789)

This is a great place to dock the dinghy for free. Pull up close to the grass and park it in the corner. Centrally located to the restaurants on the point. We saved a ton of money by docking at Calverts Marina on the other side of back creek and rowing over when we wished.

Free Pumpout and Water, 2015-05-18
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1541)

We're a 17' wide catamaran so layed up along the outside of the dock which worked just fine for us. Very good strong pumpout, worked very well - better than many marinas we've been in. Potable water on the dock, and a trash can out front. We came in early, and with no one waiting behind us stayed long enough to do dishes and take nice long showers before filling up the water tanks. As another reviewer said, I wish more municipalities had facilities like this. Great job and thank you!

Great Pumpout, 2014-09-15
Captain: , Block Island, RI (994)

We came alongside in our Tayana 37 with no problems. The pumpout works very well. Additionally, there is trash and restrooms, though sadly no showers. We even left the boat tied up for an hour or so as we ordered some parts from Zahnisers. I wish every town provided facilities like these.

Good pumpout awkward for large boats, 2013-07-22
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

No attendent anymore. This is a very good self serve pump out (free) but awkward to tie up to pier. Easy if your boat is narrow enough to fit between the along side piling slip. We are 16' wide so can not. We must layup on the outside pilings and climb down the foredeck onto pier to get to the hose. It is a very strong and effective pump and infront(road side) of the adjoining bathroom building is a trash can. Potable water bib at the pump for tank flush or attach your own hose to add water.

Working pumpout, water, dingy dock, 2013-05-13
Captain: , Apex, NC (224)

We docked our dingy here several times while we stayed at anhor in Mill Creek. It is about a mile walk to the post office, etc in the shopping center up the road. You can get their quicker by docking at the Holiday inn for $$$.

Good place for Dingy tie up, 2012-10-01
Captain: , Live-a-board (350)

We anchored up near Zhaniser's just off their mooring field and put our dinghy in at the Calert Maritime museum. They charge to use their dock so if you are not interested in the Museum you can put in at the county dock with your dinghy and not pay any charges. They have pumpout there too (not for the dinghy!)

Welcomed with open arms, 2011-11-05

Third time here and still the friendliest marina/yacht club on the Chesapeake. Locals bend over backwards to help you with rides, info, etc. Always something going on at club house and they want transientss to be included.

Usefull small dock, 2011-10-27
Captain: , Galesville, MD (1341)

Helpful free pumpout, water, trash and heads. Fit 44' sailboat in slip. Can tie up dinghy.

no good without local information, 2011-08-31
Captain: , Central Illinois (537)

without a local to guide us all we could find was the pumpout sign. No place to tie up unless a very small boat.

Free pump out, water and pet walk with restrooms, 2010-08-26
Captain: , Melbourne Florida (4616)

Loved this place....local showed us where to go...can dock smaller boats in slips, larger ones have to tie up along side.
