Reviews for Smyrna Yacht Club
Very private club, 2015-11-11
Captain: , EAST GREENWICH RI (131)

Won't accept anyone not a Member to sit and have a drink at the bar.

One of our favorite stops, 2015-04-18
Captain: , Jacksonville, FL (180)

SYC has a beautiful pool and restaurant and bar that we enjoy. We were there for Bingo Night---not your usual "old folks bingo" but new, differernt and fun. One caution--the current rips through there almost as bad as it does at Charleston's Ashley Marina. We attempt to arrive and leave at slack.

Wont Take YCA members, 2012-05-29
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

They wont take Yacht Club of America member clubs.

Nice yacht club, difficult current across the slips, 2012-04-07
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1476)

We stopped here for one night on our way north, using reciprocal privileges from our FCYC club. Upon our arrival there was a strong incoming current across the slip along with a gusty west wind - made docking in slip difficult though we did it without mishap. Upon departure the next day, we waited to slack tide to leave the slip just to avoid any unpleasantness. We had a wonderful dinner at the Tiki bar, inexpensive and good food. If it wasn't for the cross-slip current, we'd give the club a higher rating.

My Home Marina, 2011-04-19
Captain: , New Smyrna Beach, Florida (42)

Founded in 1928 the main restaurant is well appointed and serves fine dining. The Tiki Bar has a great view and serves simpler fare like wings and fries, sandwiches, chili, philli-cheese steak and daily specials. The docks are poorly maintained and there is a pump out. Members of the Florida Yacht Council receive one night free. This is a private club not a public facility.

Curent is a problem, 2009-05-02
Captain: , clear lake texas (435)

We had problems with wind and current at slack tide. A 15.5' beam will not fit into slip 69, because of this we had to move to the municipal marina.
