Reviews for Skyline Marine Center
Our homeport..., 2013-04-05
Captain: , Novelty, WA (214)

We moor here year round, and use our boat year round.

I like the docks. Water is decent, power is so so- its a full dock and there are liveaboards, etc. But the power is adequate.

The at slip pump out is marginal- works 1/3 of the time and even then is wimpy. It is pulling ALL the way from the short, though- long haul.

Transients seem to not get ideal treatment here- basd instructions, no help docking, etc. But they do come in now and then. Once had a 57 Selene given bad info working his way down a series of 40 foot slips. I was amazed at how well the skipper flipped her around and exited... minimal help on dock needed!

But its nice, good place to moor permanently, and we find access is good once you are inside. The entrance is tricky- depth issue is pretty good now- hug the greens- but the current can keep you at a 45 degree on the approach- and then suddenly need you to go straight to avoid pilings.

Fuel dock is pretty good- in off seasons its slow service. In the main season its ok, and the people working it are nice. I buy fuel here before our big summer trip annually, and hope they've sold enough over the summer to provide me with fresh diesel. Grin.

Recommended for a homeport, fuel dock, and if you get good info on where your slip is, transient IF you don't need docking help.

Limited moorage, 2009-07-28
Captain: , Cowiche, WA (350)

Limited guest spots available. Call for any chance to tie up. Fuel available. Harbor is a little tight but easy enough to enter and good protection.

Skyline, 2009-05-19
Captain: , Blakely Island, WA (372)

No transient moorage. Fuel available. The entrance is very shallow on the east side, hug the pilings (within a couple of feet) to port as you enter at low tide, many boats go aground here.

Easy fuel access, 2007-08-26
Captain: , Olympia (1435)

This is a busy place. Access to the fuel dock is easy. Watch current when entering narrow marina enterance.
