Reviews for Sindbad's Restaurant and Marina
Overall Review, 2016-07-20
Captain: , Edison Boat Club Marina (450)

Staff appears very friendly & knowledgeable. Did not stay here, just doing a preview of faclitiy as a possible candidate for my boat.

Great place to stop/stay on the Detroit side of the river, 2014-08-11
Captain: , Detroit, Michigan, USA (32)

Plently of deep wells (problem with a 5' keel) all the way up to the door of the restaurant. Fair prices, for being on the water.

Stopped in for lunch., 2014-05-26
Captain: , Milwaukee (651)

We stopped in here to meet some friends, and have lunch before we took them out on the boat for a ride. The harbormaster was very friendly and assisted with our docking. Food and service were good, nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. A little pricey for what we got, but not outragious. When we returned to drop of our friend, the helpfull harbor master was right there again to give us a hand.

Great for an overnight stop, 2013-06-25
Captain: , La Salle, MI (122)

We stopped on the way from Lake Erie to points north. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, you want to go into the south side of the dock where there is a nice wide fairway. Depth might be an issue for slips closer to the restaurant. Nice people at the dock and the restaurant. Food and service were fine. The sauteed perch was outstanding. They have electricity and water at the slips but lack boaters restrooms and showers. The nightly charge would have been $35 but they had quoted us $20 over the phone. When we mentioned that, they gave us the night free.

Over-rated institution?, 2012-05-10

It always seems busier than the average food served in a dated atmosphere could explain... Note: the east fairway is indeed tight, but there are large transient wells and tons of room to maneuver on the west side (bordering the event-only Roostertail facility).

Thirty five years ago I first visited this place and returned many times. It was a bustling bar with great cheap food and I could get there from Windsor by boat. The Reubans were the best. In summer 2011 the admiral and I returned. Food was only fair - prices a little high and staff indifferent.
You can tie up alongside but turning a 38 around is only barely possible. Be prepared to back out if larger and do not try this in a wind. BTW do not venture inland - tough neighbourhood - roostertail is next door used to be good also but current status unknown
