Hail "Summerside Yacht Club" on 68. The curling thing is just because both clubs share the same building. The YC is really separate. They'll answer to "Silver Fox", then correct you.

All the major Canadian banks have branches close by the marina. The main shopping district, with Walmart, supermarkets, dollar store, lots of fast food, Canadian Tire, restaurants and just about everything else is 1.5 miles from the marina. A nearly level walk, just a very slight uphill on the way.

The College of Piping and Celtic Performng Arts of Canada in located in Summerside. In the summer they have wonderful performances. Don't miss one if you are in the area.

A tourist bureau is located in the back of the large building (a theater) facing the marina. There is all kinds of stuff to explore if you rent a car and some within walking distance.

Reviews for Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club
The Perfect Spot, 2016-10-05
Captain: , Chaumont, NY (257)

Agree with previous post but you must try the lobster rolls at JMK Fishmart, 110 Queens Wharf. Look left as you walk out of the marina you will see a large blue industrial building, just past that is JMK; it doesn't look much but the lobster rolls are large cubes of lobster meat and not much else! They also have whole lobsters cooked and uncooked, whatever fish is being caught that day and chowder, which was the only disappointment

Great Location, Convenient Reprovision Stop, 2016-07-15
Captain: , York, ME (1971)

My reviews for this coast have been running about one star above where they'd be elsewhere, mostly in comparison to the other (limited) options along this coast. This is a very good stop and I can't find any real reason to "ding" them a star, so five it is.

The facility is great, the people are helpful and friendly, buth the staff and the other boaters. A few minutes' walk will bring you to all the basics, a decent Foodliner grocery, a home supply store, car parts, banks, restaurants, food carts, art and culture, a long shoreside boardwalk, etc. Fuel is inexpensive and convenient. The docks are solid with good power and water. the protection is great. Anything you can't get near the marina can be had by walking a mile and a half to the main shopping strip. You'll probably get offered a ride if you ask anywone where it is though.

The heads and showers are clean. There's a washer and dryer, although the dryer was having issues while we were there.

A short walk up Water street is a laundromat with a cafe across the hall that serves breakfast all day, along with normal diner fare (and lobster rolls) for lunch. Enter the little indoor mall just after the chinese restaurant and go all the way down the main hallway to the end.

Great place to stop over, 2015-08-15

Very friendly staff and plenty of room to maneuver.
Full service marina.
Restaurant food was very good
Showers and laundry close at 11pm

Great location to explore PEI, 2015-08-11
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2870)

The facility seemed better than at Charlottetown and we certainly enjoyed the friendly staff and other boaters. Showers and heads were close and in good shape except for the men' shower having a problem that I assume will be rectified soon after I reported it. The laundry is in with the heads/showers and very convenient.

Great location and staff, 2014-11-05
Captain: , Montreal (253)

Very helpful and committed staff and the marina has everything there or nearby. Town is quaint with great seafood and some interesting restaurants and cafes.

Summerside Yacht Club, 2014-09-29
Captain: , Charlevoix, MI (733)

Well-marked channel on way in carried a minimum of 20 feet at low tide, basin >10 feet. Nice facility, bar and restaurant on site (get the fries with everything-very low-cal haha). There's a great fish market (Arsenault) about 1/2 mile away, got Malpeque oysters for $1/ea. Just made a quick stop, so can't comment on shopping, etc.

Excellent Stop, Marina, and Town, 2014-07-26
Captain: , Corpus Christi, TX (732)

Great Marina and Staff. Very well protected, good power and wi-fi, laundry, very good restaurant on site, and grocery, etc. nearby. Several interesting things to see here (College of Piping, etc.)

Excellent place with incredibly helpful people, 2013-01-31
Captain: , Gloucester, MA (807)

This is a great faclity with very involved and committed members. Sommerside is nice alternative to Charlottetown.

What's not to like about this place?, 2012-07-24
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1380)

Terrific protection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, groceries and liquor within spitting distance, cheap fuel, laundry, propane and a great little town.

Great marina, 2011-10-20
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1915)

I'd suggest a reservation as the number of transient slips is limited. We were on the face dock in front of the bar & restaurant. Interesting town; you can do a quick walk around in an afternoon. PEI is primarily agricultural; potatoes, blueberries, etc. The College of Piping puts on wonderful performances in the the summer.

GOOD STAY at the marina, 2011-06-08
Captain: , Kingston, Ontario, Canada (558)

Floating docks. Friendly people. If you can't find someone who will loan you their car to go to the grocery store, I'd be very surprised. We ate several times at the marina restaurant and enjoyed it. Good wifi.

Better marina than Charlottetown, 2010-10-16
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

If you need to choose, then we prefer here. Good folks and facilities.

Very nice facility, 2010-03-02
Captain: , Sarasota (1427)

BTW, the ice rink becomes the banquet room in summer. Previous reviews pretty much cover it. There is a nice beach nearby and Summerside has a wonderful farmers market. Once you get away from the touristy place close to the marina, there are some really good restaurants in town.

No curling, unfortunately, but nice members and helpful staff, 2009-08-07
Captain: , Key West, FL (758)

You won't be cruising into the former Summerside Yacht Club during curling weather; so don't expect that as a diversion. Though the club is has nice facilities and is very accommodating. Grocery shopping and restaurants very nearby and we managed to catch a free concert by the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada just five minutes from the dock.

Friendly, well run marina, 2008-08-19
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

We pulled into the marina after doing a 140 nm overnighter and found a very friendly marina with lots of people willing to help. That was important as they put me on a 100' face dock at the end of the perpendicular slips and there was already a 48' boat on it! Thankfully helpful hands were waiting who helped pull me onto the dock. The docks are in good shape and there's a nice bar/restaurant here.

There's a good sized mall almost next to the marina and a hardware store across the street. The Deckhouse Pup restaurant in Spinnakers Landing makes great fish and chips.
